I went to mass this morning for Ro

I don't usually drive downtown to the Cathedral down there for mass, but it just felt right this morning. It's a beautiful, imposing place and I needed all the grandeur of those massive stone pillars and towering stained glass windows today.  John and I were married there in a huge spectacle of a wedding, but I rarely go to mass there more than a ( Read more... )

Oh Bella... kendaa January 26 2008, 23:27:10 UTC
What you wrote...just so beautiful. And so right. I'm in tears all over again, especially at the thought that Kev would have met Ro at the Gates.

I didn't go to Mass yesterday, but I lit a candle in my living room last night as the time drew near for the funeral Mass, and when I went to bed I lay in the dark and said a Rosary for Ro too. I haven't said a Rosary in a long, long time, but I just so wanted to do that for her yesterday.

Because life is so very short and precious, love you dear Bella and I'm so very glad I've had the chance to meet you at least once in this life.

I agree with what Kendaa said. :) What you wrote was beautiful and I can absolutely imagine Kev and his wide smile greeting Ro. And maybe it gave her just a little comfort just as it gives us a sliver of a smile.

I can imagine the Cathedral and the feeling of it. The comfort of it.

I'm glad we have each other here. To remember and rejoice. :)

Big hugs,
Val aka Kiari

Beautiful... and poignant... I could picture the Cathedral and it felt right.

And the idea of Kev being at the Gates of Heaven to greet Ro on her arrival? I can so see it... Yeah... I can... even through the tears.

Love you much!

That was indeed a beautiful thing to do hon. Ro definitely held a strong belief in God and prayer. I know all of us who could and could not be there, but were thinking and praying and lighting candles were heard by her.

Ro never got to meet Kev, I think it highly appropriate that two of the world's most genuine and lovely people would cross paths in such a manner.
