I got the henna and the coral reef, but couldn't quite grasp the cliffhanger. Very difficult prompts - I think you did a good job with them (glad I didn't get them!)
Haha, yeah it was really tough challenge. I really struggled with the cliffhanger. I wasn't even sure what really constitutes one, but I was hoping to communicate that Ruksenna still has not escaped the ghost, and until she does, she will not be able to move on with her life. The cliff hanger is supposed to be "Will she be able to escape the ghost or will it consume her?" But that's not really the sort of "DUN-DUN-DUN-duuunn!" moment that a real cliffhanger has.
Thank you! I'm glad to hear you liked the dialogue. I was really working to capture the back-and-forth banter of the couple, and I was SO self-conscious of Ms. Abraham's speech patterns because I really don't know what a native of Barbados would sound like, and I didn't want to write something terribly stereotypical, either. It's so nice to hear it turned well.
