Impressive. A few cultural thought twists make it even more so.

However, technically I felt some grammar/spelling concerns. Especially "of" vs. "off"...

Yeah, I'm always getting them wrong. I'm actually quite dyslexic, but I'll have another swing through to sort them out :)

The idea of a space body was really intriguing. What is the 'real' body doing? Is there one?

I'd taken on the idea of metamorphosis, that in the future you have a biological phase and then you upload yourself to a machine. You get to chose 'if' and 'when', and everybody has their reasons. The protagonist was motivated by love but others would be driven by curiosity, or fear, even envy.
