Okay, seriously.

People at work need to stop hinting/telling me I need a girlfriend. One of my coworkers who I've known for awhile, a woman named Amie, was fishing for personal details. I think I'm just a private person at work with a few exceptions, so maybe I'm just a tad more sensitive then usual. Who knows?

So I'm at work yesterday, sitting at our office assistant's desk trying to make time pass by faster.

( And then the bitch storm started... )

Just finished "Almost Like Being in Love" by Steve Kluger.

It managed to be three things in one:

1. A quick/funny/enjoyable read.
2. One of those books that makes you laugh out loud while you're reading it.
3. Proof positive that I'm a hopeless romantic.

I'm actually going to read Shopgirl next, rather then being a lazy movie-whore.

So I told my boss the whole tale...she had two questions, one of which I kinda wanted to pose here to the people that know what's going on. Feel free to comment. I'll put up more on what we talked about in a day or so...it did help and she was very supportive. Couldn't tell if she was surprised or not, but I'm trying not to care about that ( Read more... )

A follow up to this little tale...He called. Well, e-mailed me at 12:15 AM and then called at 12:20 AM or so. E-mail's content was defensive, but his phone call was friendly and wanting to talk more when I had to go. E-mail said he has a girlfriend at present that he has to "ask for permission" to make sure it's okay if he meets with me to talk ( Read more... )
