So. I finished my PhD.  Will turn in the final copies of the dissertation and everything this week; and I've gone back to medical school to finish that doctorate also.  But third year, the clinical rotations, are an overwhelming transition...

Last month, I read a young adult fantasy novel that I really enjoyed: "Northlander" by Meg Burden. Cousin Margaret, I mentioned it to you in North Carolina over Christmas, so I thought I'd make a note of it here -- it's truly a fun read, absorbing, with excellent characterization and a plot that will keep you reading.

I am so stressed out right now, I actually can't even describe it.

Submitting grants to the NIH, when you've never done anything of the sort before, is actually incredibly difficult and horrible.
