Marian of Edwinstowe

Marian of Edwinstowe, of the Barony of Carolingia, was a fixture in the SCA long before I joined. She was a Lady with a capital "L", warm, kind and caring but with just the right touch of sass and humor. I was saddened to learn that she passed away last night after a long illness.

I did not know her well, but as you said, she was always kind and gracious when I did see her. I used to love watching the Aussie security guys at Pennsic stopping in every morning, jumping out of their golf carts, to get their coffee at the Battlefield Bakery.
