My mommy is dying. She is refusing to eat or drink. I have been told that waiting a few weeks to go and see her is no longer an option, so now it depends on the doctors and when I will be at the hospital next week. So, I wrote a long post about my friend Mike and how I lost him to AIDS. Well, part of his deal was that when he came out to his family, they kicked him out. He spent time living on the streets, working as a male prostitute.

There is an organzation in New York City that provides services to LGBTQ homeless youth - the Trinity Place Shelter.
