When Worlds Collide
I'm turning into the "Local Peer" here at my mundane job. It's a little weird. Beating Cancer
I hope to come back and write more about the past six months, next week - when I am taking a week off to recuperate from everything. They didn't let me hide!
We had a lovely dinner with a few friends on Saturday night. Lots of laughter, good food, homemade FLAN which was freakin' awesome (even if it made my stomach really unhappy later that night - totally worth it), and just being with folks. Good News
For those who have not heard, I found out last Thursday that I do NOT have to have chemo! Woohoo!!!!
The oncologist told me, and I promptly burst into tears. When I told her about Mr. Hurricane, and how he appeared right before my biopsy and left as soon as he 'knew' that I would not need him to get me through chemo, SHE burst into tears!

Saying Goodbye

Overwhelmed
I received an incredible package in the mail last night, from djinnj. A BEAUTIFUL lacey shawl, in blues/greens. Perfect colors, amazing knitting job.
Djinnj, I am so overwhelmed by your artistry, your caring, and the fact that you would knit something for -me-. It is always crazy that knitters/crocheters often do work for others and rarely have it given ( Read more... )
