You may or may not know that another group of ridiculous tornadoes hit Alabama again January 23rd. While the loss of life wasn't as great as the April 2011 ones the property damage is significant. I have joined up with an organization...Alabama's Lost Toys...that is stepping in to help replenish toys that kids lost on April 27th. Many of these families are slowly moving in to temporary housing, rental houses and so on and they have kids. Kids who lost everything on that day. Things are starting to look different. Debris isn't blocking the street any longer. You can hear bulldozers all around. The military presence isn't as great. The volunteers aren't as plentiful. The neighborhood isn't full of people...most have gotten what they wanted from what use to be their homes. Some have said they are never coming back ( Read more... )
