I think you should do it, just to prove your point. Of course, the asshat in question will probably just go to the same source or the LJ comm to get the new password, but it at least shows that you stand by your convictions. I still can't believe they would write something like that ~ its completely insane and unfair.

On a happier note, my scanner-related issues are now fixed and you can expect both those cover rescans you requested and the other GW books soonish. I really hope I remembered to LJ PM you about that, if not please accept my apologies. RL has been hectic for me too recently and its entirely possible I forgot. (I think not remembering if I did in the first place doesn't bode too well lol >.<;)

Again for my memory, grayscale (except covers) and 500-600 dpi correct? =D

I'm glad to hear about your scanner! I have that dj cleaned and translated. I was just waiting for the covers before typesetting it. ^^ I haven't had time to check my lj inbox yet, but I'll do that sometime this weekend. Promise. And, yes, grayscale the interior pages, color for the covers. No rush on getting the new books scanned, though. I'm really behind on everything right now

I concur, I think that you should change it. I know that it will make some parts of your life more difficult, but I've tried my hand a scanning doujinshi and it takes up mega amount of time, and I wouldn't ever consider scanlating them (just the thought of how much effort is required is enought to make me abandon the idea).

Selfish children who expect everything on a gilded platter and who get off on being rude to hardworking people don't deserve to get it easy.

I have serious issues with this 'entitled' generation. I don't understand them at all. Maybe it's because my family was poor and each kid had to work for what they wanted. You don't bite the hand that feeds you. But I've decided I was never feeding the guy who sent this email, so it's all good. Sorry for being a drama queen! ^^; If I change the password, I'll make sure to have something set up so nice people can get the new one easier and quicker than what I have right now.

There's something seriously wrong with some people nowadays and this one is an excellent example of a spoilt brat that deserves a good @$$ whooping *goes and wrenches their neck for their language, too* I'll support whatever decision you'll make, Ari, and yes, a new password might be a good way out.

Thank you. ^^ A password change would be a quick fix, temporarily locking this jerk out, but it would hurt me and a lot of innocent yaoi fans a lot more than it would the jerk. So I'll suck it up for now. This has motivated me to find an easier way to distribute the password. That way when I do change it, it will be painless on my end and not too much trouble for the nice yaoi fans, either.

Thanks. ^^ I haven't actually run across one of these in a while, so I overreacted. I've been having a really bad week and this tipped me over completely. I want to start changing the password regularly, that way I *can* make good on my threat when someone pushes me. But first I have to change the way I go about giving people the password, that way regulars will be able to find the new one easily, and there won't be a ridiculously long wait for first-time visitors. The password was meant to keep the hard parts of my site invisible to google, not to lock out yaoi fans.

I would change the pw. People can always request for it. Or just join the community which isn't hard. Admittedly I've still have many unanswered emails regarding password I haven't gotten around to responding or have forgotten to respond too. But I have been fortunate that I haven't been called the c word. Although if they have, I haven't gotten around to reading it! Lol.

Stick to your convictions. I totally understand the time and costs involved in scanlations. Having spend over several thousand myself =o=;;;. Some people just don't get it. Scanlations don't just pop magically out of no where.

I think it was a guy who ran across my site while looking for hentai. That would explain the name-calling. Girls don't call each other cunt very often, do they? Maybe they do, but I'm going to pretend they don't. I feel a lot better believing this was a guy, a jerk, and not representative of yaoi fans. Yaoi fans are used to having to deal with passwords and locked communities. I wouldn't want to punish yaoi fans just because one jerk - who wasn't even into yaoi - jumped me. So I'm going to brush it off
