Bush is just not very good at this job. I haven't really broken new ground by saying this, but I'm honestly surprised that he's not only mismanaged the war, he's mismanaged the marketing of the war to the American people. Even reading the (allegedly) liberal New York Times I can find passages that seem favorable to the new plans:

Saw some great football games today, both Seahawks-Bears and Pats-Chargers. But what I want to comment on here is the 60 Minutes interview with President Bush afterwards. Spent some time today watching the Jets-Bills game this afternoon, and i have to say I'm very pleased.  I know I didn't like how they handled the offseason, and they still don't have even the remote hint of a running game, but Chad Pennington has shown himself to be a real mensch.  The stats didn't look that great today--just 183 yards passing--but ( Read more... )
