My state unemployment benefits are about to run out...thank g-d for the federal extensions. I can't decide what to do. I'm fairly certain I'll get called back to my previous job in February, but I'm frustrated I can't find something better/better paying. Less than 24 hours notice for a job interview: quite possibly the best amount of time.  Enough time to prepare, not enough time to work myself into a total panic.  Wish me luck!

I love early fall.  I love the weird odd jobs I'm working right now.  I love the Willy Street Fair.  I love my accountant.  I really hate my neighbors, and I hate that I'm constantly evaluating what they're yelling at their kids, thinking, "OK, should I be calling CPS about this?" 

Ack. I'm toying with the idea of taking SPD cases again.  Maybe just appellate cases?  I don't know.  I could office-share with Gina, but that could get spendy (the rent is super-cheap--it'd be like $150 a month, but I'd also have to pay for phone, and internet, and other overhead).  I could work out of my home and avoid rent and such, but I'm not sure ( Read more... )
