This is pretty loose yet, but I thought about it when I was listening to the radio in the car yesterday.

Illegal immigration via visa over-stays, “reconquistas”, or whoever-- they are here.  The Catholic Church is assisting them to make them allowed to come here and/or leave on their whim.  It really destroys the entity of our country and creates a ( Read more... )

Well, I don't know about going that far, but I certainly noticed the Catholic priests sprinkling the protesters with Holy Water, and I scratched my head for a moment. Then I remembered from my Catholic School days, that the Catholic Church likes to get involved with local politics, revolutions, etc. It has a *Social Doctrine*. There are various organizations which allowed clergy & monastics to lead violent uprisings, in the name of "human rights".

The single biggest problem I see is the message we send to anyone around the world wanting to illegally immigrate here: YOU CAN ALWAYS COME IN THROUGH MEXICO! Which is whats happening already: there are many Russian (or otherwise Slavic) immigrants illegally coming in through the Mexican border...

I agree. The Mexican border issue needs to change very soon! I know that many illegals are good hardworking people, but that doesn't mean they should not be persectued for breaking the laws. Some of my only friends in St. Louis are illegal. So its a hard subject, but I can't say all of your mexicans need to go to jail and then say to my friends we need to call the embassay's so you can stay. Logically its not fair to do that.

The only big exception I can see is actually someone I knew briefly. Sarah and her family were from Canada, but they were in the US on her dad's work visa for something like 15 years. They had all of the paperwork in for permanent residency, but he died THE DAY BEFORE it was approved. The rest of the family was deported. Something about that one just hits me the wrong way. But it's even more ridiculous when political leaders start thinking up ways to make it okay for the illegal workers to stay. So what? THEY can stay, even though they have no legal right to be here and never have, but someone whose request for permanent residency was granted at the same time their parent was dying gets deported? When they had legally lived here, attended school here, and paid taxes through legally working here? WTF??

But that's another rant entirely.

The pope is the forerunner of antichrist which is an archetype.

Do you know nothing of Jesus's teachings to make such remarks? When you see someone in need of food you feed them. When you see someone in need of clothing you clothe them. When you see someone in need of shelter you find them one. It does not matter who they are or where they are from, all that matters is that they are in need. You feel this destroys the entity of our country to help those in need? I wonder what you would do if you knew hunger or thirst as these people do. It's very easy to watch someone starve when you have a loaf of bread under each arm, isn't it?
