On top of all the other things I've found to do with my time, I have now been cast - despite not auditioning - as Cain in Jess and Greg's Destruction of Innocence - A Gothic Photo Story. Pretty stoked about that, actually. It should be an awesome time! Greg is such a creative guy, and Jess is brilliant of course, so I think this project is going to ( Read more... )

I hope we'll see said photo story when all is said and done.

And two thousand words isn't shabby at all. Reminds me I need to get to work...

Absolutely. I need to do some more work promoting the project anyway, so I'm sure everyone will be hearing more about it :)

I've often heard it said that 1,000 a day is quite an acceptable amount, though I usually tend to get more than that if I properly spend the day writing. Thanks for the encouragement! Hope yours comes along nicely, too.

I've actually got the manuscript finished but I'm doing a final edit because of some things that have never quite worked. Trouble is I've edited the thing so much already I'm sick of it and have a hard time getting myself to work on it even though it's what needs to be done.

I did just finish a short story follow up to the novel I already have out, though, so at least I'm doing something.

If you need a beta reader for your story let me know!

Awesome, cheers dude! Perhaps if we get our tales finished at roughly the same time, we can do a swap :)

I totally get the trouble with that point of editing. Thankfully, the re-write I'm doing now means a lot of the material still seems relatively fresh to me. It seemed like a daunting task to do this now, and to a certain degree still does, but positive feedback and my own feelings about it seem to suggest it'll be well worth the effort.
