The tumor is going to be treated by radiation therapy, daily, five days a week, for weeks. The tumor can't be removed - it's a big fat weird tendril in my brain, and removing it would remove quite a bit of speech, memory, maybe arm motion. Nuh-uh. Keep it, but whomp it down so it'll stop growing, and perhaps actually shrink ( Read more... )

Halloween, indeed friendly_drelb July 4 2006, 03:10:09 UTC
Hi there! Yeah, this whole thing is very Halloween like ... or maybe I'm mixing up my movies and I really mean Nightmare on Elm Street. Gimme candy, little boy! Good talking to you tonight, though I now remember that I was going to google Unicorn and T. Rex. See you tomorrow!

Looking forward to all kinds of things with y'all! Rock on! If I can find any weird old T. Rex discs or files, I'll get them to you by next weekend.

The brain is amazing. Ranj got back a lot of stuff they didn't think he would.

I am continuing to think the very best of thoughts for you and your Beloved Spouse and wonderful daughter.

Yes, indeed - I'm really hoping for this. I've seen it in a couple of friends who recovered themselves through sickness and injury, and the number of get-well cards I've gotten from friends who've made it through one version of cancer or another is astounding.

What is this plastic head-holder? Can we see?

Radiation FIVE DAYS A WEEK? Man. You gonna have time to do anything else?

I hope it all goes well. Get well. Be well. I'm thinking of you. And Daisykitty is sending shiny-dime eyes of healingness.

Yeah, five days a week is going to be exhausting for about a month. So I'm more and more like the grandad on the Simpsons, instead of the plain ol' dad I used to be...

And Daisykitty is sending shiny-dime eyes of healingness.

Damn, yes, that'll do it! Those eyes are big zappers.

If I ever face something like this, I hope I can face it with the spirit that you do.

Well, if you face something like this, you'd have Velma carting you around into the reality of it, while you are the nation's best music ditz ever. So, there'd be some fabulousness to it, dude. Big fabulousness, if you point the stuff in the right direction.

Your brain may be goofy, but your mind's okay. Hm, I wonder if there's any T Rex on YouTube. I wonder if I should go back to the Groovy Grotto and download those Little Marcy albums today. I wonder if I can find those Mickey Mouse ears I have somewhere to give to Sarah.
