Richard died this morning at 3am, his wife and a friend were at his bedside. It was very peaceful, just a cessation of breathing ( Read more... )

I've already sent my condolences, now I thank everybody who pitched in and visited Richard and did things for Carol and Maya. I'm glad he had such good friends.

Robin, thanks for letting me see Rich's LJ icon in my FL one more time. Even knowing what's happened, my heart still got all happy at the sight of that blue fish that used to signal another one of his posts.

I also posted about Rich over at rec.arts.sf.fandom and on my own LJ. To repeat the main point: I miss him.
