I've just arrived in South Korea for about a month's stay. I'm located in Daegu at one of the US bases here. The sleeping and showering facilities are nice, the food is great (we don't have to eat MREs or field rations, we have a regular DFAC with fresh food ( Read more... )

I'm in Japan on an exercise. Here are some pictures from a day or two ago. It is rather cold. I haven't seen any grass, concrete, or dirt because of the snow pack here. It is kinda fun though.

Fort Wah-chuuuu-ka... I'm graduating tomorrow and then I'm outa here. Got my drill weekend this next Saturday and Sunday, then I start civilian work on Monday. Back to the very welcome familiar old grind. :)

Today we were out at the FTX site setting up tents and cleaning up the huts we would be operating from. Our hut had a rat in it, which really freaked out Momma Jeter (SSG Jeter). She's the nuts and bolts that makes the world go around for our section of the FTX, she's very organized and delegates well ( Read more... )

Today it has been raining/drizzling on and off alllllll day. Fortunately we've been inside all day. I did run out to go to the transportation office across the way, and it hailed then. We aren't so lucky tomorrow though, we are gonna be outside all day. wheeeeeee. :)

about a week and a half left of this place and then I'm outa here. joy oh

Today was battle training. I'm glad it wasn't raining and nasty when we did it, but there was still quite a bit of standing water and mud available on the field were trained in for part of the time ( Read more... )
