i had to read that first paragraph about four times before i got it.

i'm jealous, i think interviewing people is really fun. especially when they are intrinsically interesting like musicians or actors or whatever. not that i've ever interviewed one, but i imagine i'd have an easier time fishing for interesting bits. do you go fishing for bits, or do they just sit there and talk at you?

maybe you'd feel better if you read Cathy's comic about a kid whose dad was going to commit suicide until he heard "Everybody Walk the Dinosaur" by Was (Not Was).

hahahahaha. Don said Sweet Pea is his hero. Sweet Pea apparently drives an '80s Cadillac that looks beat up on the outside, but in the trunk there's a full bar lined with expensive, imported carpet and fancy wood, along with a stereo system and special lighting. Don used this story to explain why he keeps all of his gold records in a storage locker.

I fish like a longshoreman. my favorite thing is when you're talking to someone who has been interviewed hundreds of times over years and years and you ask them a question and they pause and say, "wow, no one's ever asked me that before."
