about 7 out of 10 young/new bands I interview say their goal is "world domination." they almost always use those exact words. they say it to sound sort of funny, but they mostly mean it. I fucking hate that

i've noticed that as well and i hate it too. i thought it was well played out when tenacious d released their album. it's pretty sad when you think about the underlying meaning: they're serious and masking their desires in sarcasm.
