Things that should be normal are hard for me and things that are not normal like studying or wanting to write a paper or staying late at work are not hard at all. I wonder why some people can just be so normal and others, like me, can never achieve it ( Read more... )

Hi,

Thanks for your message. It does help to know that I am not alone in not having a great core group of lifelong friends. I too think that shows like "Sex and City" which I love make me wish that I had better friendship but I think it is in fact a t.v. show and not real. Thank you though for your post because it makes me feel not alone in my making friends quandry.

hey cay, i dont really need to be the one to tell you that your friends from high school suck. they went to schools where the people are really vain and self absorbed and became like those people, i see it happening constantly here. (luckily i was already vain and self absorbed before going to college.)
but seriously, about being normal, what normal person ever did anything great. honestly, you dont want to be normal, no one actually wants to be normal. being normal is just settling for less than you want. normal people arent happy. thats why we have tv, and books, and art, because normal people arent satisfied with who they are. as for the abnormal people, the weird ones, the dorks, they're the ones who create the art, you think aaron sorkin is normal? no he's fucked up. so fuck everyone who doesn't want you to be part of their petty little social circle with their backstabbing and gossip. in the end you'll be better for it.
