Part I *
And just like he had promised, Jin didn’t give up after their little encounter, especially after seeing that Kazuya was once again avoiding him like a plague. He couldn’t believe this, really!! It was that hard to talk like two civilized people? Why did they need to do this game of side-and-seek every time Jin wanted to say something to Kazuya?
He sighed, looking tiredly at the assistant who was talking with someone from the staff, completely ignoring Jin’s presence. He had tried all day to talk to Kazuya, but the younger kept disappearing to nowhere, leaving Jin more frustrated every time. It was starting to become annoying and Jin was tired of failing every time, so tired that he was now planning to kidnap Kazuya and then force him to listen. His eyes lighted in expectance when he finally saw an opportunity to corner the younger and have him all to himself. He sighed in relief, thinking that he didn’t have after all to take drastic measures concerning the boy and watched Kazuya with attention, being careful to not be noticed by anyone, especially Kazuya. He waited for a couple of minutes and then he left his chair, announcing that he’s taking a bathroom break. No one commented on that, seeing as he had a little part left for that day and he now had to wait for some time before everything would be ready.
So Jin followed Kazuya to the bathroom, smiling devilishly when he saw him alone, washing his hands and not noticing his presence. He quickly locked the door behind him and without saying anything, he rushed to Kazuya, grabbing his arms and pushing him into a stall, Jin going in after him and locking it too, without giving the boy the chance to say anything but just to be surprised and confused about what’s happening.
“Hi there.” Jin greeted him with a playful smile, like what just happened was absolutely normal.
“W-what are you doing?” Kazuya blurted out, now that the shock of having Jin lock him into a bathroom stall slightly wore off. He knew he had been avoiding Jin again, but he had a lot of work and to think of, it wasn’t easy to meet with Jin and talk about such trivial things, right? But apparently the actor wasn’t thinking the same and they were once again so close to each other that Kazuya was getting slight dizzy.
“I wanted to talk with you.” Jin explained, shrugging a little with the same nonchalance that he always had.
“In a bathroom stall?” Kazuya quirked an eyebrow mockingly.
“Well, I had to make sure somehow that you won’t run away from me again.” Jin answered with calm, like he didn’t do anything wrong by locking them into the bathroom when they were still both at work. Oh, well, Jin had a break and Kazuya wasn’t supposed to do anything besides helping him. And that was what he was doing now.
“I wasn’t running away from you.” Kazuya replied with a hurt expression. “I had work to do.” He added with a pout. “So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to return to it.”
“You don’t have any work that doesn’t concern me.” Jin cocked an eyebrow, getting a little closer to Kazuya just to feel him tensing. “It’s not my problem if you took on something that wasn’t your job, but if you really did that, maybe it means that you were too free and I should give you more work.” He added, starting to think seriously at his words. He was technically Kazuya’s boss so he could make the younger spend more time with him like this…
“Okay, okay!” the assistant said with an exasperated voice. “We’ll talk, but don’t come closer.” He added, practically gluing himself to the stall’s wall.
Jin smirked, pleased with the younger’s decision and even more pleased to see him backing away like that. “Now tell me,” Jin started with a serious expression for once, “are you that ashamed that we kissed so you need to avoid me all the time?” he asked with a slightly hurt tone.
“It’s not because of shame.” Kazuya answered slowly, seeming to muse upon things. “It’s more like I don’t want you to keep believing that it was right and that… that you l-like me.” He continued, stuttering a little when he had to say the word like. It was hard enough to deal with the simple thought of having Jin liking him, let aside to say it out loud.
“What’s the problem if I like you?” Jin asked, now really curious. “Is it because we’re both men?” he then asked with a slight reproach in his voice. “That’s what bothers you or is it the fact that it’s me the one who likes you?”
Kazuya gaped at Jin’s immense stupidity. “It doesn’t matter which one is.” He replied on a slightly annoyed voice. “I just don’t want such a thing to keep me from my daily work.” He added with a frown.
“And why would me liking you and you liking me back keep you from your daily work?” the actor retorted immediately, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
Kazuya opened his mouth then closed it again. No, he wouldn’t say that Jin had deprived him from sleeping for the last two days or that he had often found himself staring after the actor, his heart beating a little too fast than normal. Nonetheless, the kiss they shared left lingering sensations on his lips and each time he’d think about it, he would relive that kiss. And it was hard enough to endure all of this beside having to take care of Jin and having him locking Kazuya in a bathroom.
“You’re keeping me now in a bathroom!” he said, taking a look in their surroundings. “And I said before that I don’t like you.” He added with a grumbling voice.
“True, so technically it’s not the fact that I like you and that you could like me back keeping you in here.” Jin shrugged, looking all innocent and totally pure. “It’s just my stubbornness and the fact that I can’t put up with a ‘no’ so this means you’d be sitting a lot in bathrooms like this if things remain the same.” He continued to blabber with a determined and concerned look on his face.
“You’re delusional.” Kazuya replied with a tired sigh. “You know that doing this to me isn’t going to help you in any way you want.” He looked at Jin and sighed again. “And what you’d like me to do? To become your lover? Sorry, that won’t do.” The assistant added with a shake of his head.
“While that would be the most wonderful conclusion that you could get to…” Jin smiled as he leaned his back to the stall, his eyes watching Kazuya fervently. “I’d be satisfied for now if you said that you’d give me a chance.” He said, a playful smirk appearing on his lips again.
“This can’t do either.” Kazuya replied quickly, ignoring the heat that went up to his cheeks. “I’m sorry, Jin, but I can’t give you a chance in anything that involves us being a couple.” He continued, truly apologetic. “Besides, you said from the start that you weren’t into guys and that you have needs that have to be satisfied once a month at least. It’s better if you return to your girls and leave whatever happened between us behind.” Kazuya added with a firm voice.
Jin laughed. “It’s true that I’m not into boys and I’ve never felt attracted to one, but with you…” he stopped, trying to find the best words, “it’s different. I only need to see you and I already want to kiss you.” He added with a husky voice, straightening up as memories from the last month came back into his mind. “I want you so much that I’ve never felt this way.” He confessed, taking a step and erasing the distance between him and Kazuya. “Is it that hard to see me as a possible lover?” he then mumbled, a little afraid of Kazuya’s answer and feeling already hurt at the rejection.
“I thought we cleared this aspect.” Kazuya replied and tensed again as Jin got close to him. “And why would I be different anyway?” there was a slight edge to his voice. “Are you perhaps saying that I’m like a girl or something?” Kazuya’s eyes were sparkling with faint anger. He might have feminine features, but he wasn’t a girl.
“I don’t know.” Jin sighed, ruffling his hair in frustration and running his hands through it a few times, in hope to relieve the stress that he was feeling at the moment. “I don’t know why I want to kiss you, I don’t know why I’m so crazy about you, I don’t know why I get mad thinking at you with anyone else. And I don’t know how you transformed me into this needy person that I am now.” He chuckled bitterly. “I don’t know why I like you so much, Kazuya, I just know I do.” He said, his eyes sincere and his heart beating a lot louder, so loud that he was afraid the younger might hear it. “Isn’t that enough?” he asked uncertainly, glancing at Kazuya’s eyes and not having courage to look properly at them, too afraid that Kazuya will know how nervous he actually was.
Kazuya didn’t want to hear such things. It was already complicated, he didn’t need Jin to complicate his life more. “I don’t want to know all of this.” He said on a strained voice. “But I certainly know that I won’t accept such a crazy thing. It’s weird no matter how you look at it.” Kazuya grimaced, then he added slowly. “I refuse to be treated or considered a girl.”
“When the hell did I treat you like a girl?” Jin rolled his eyes, annoyed that Kazuya was insisting on the subject that he had kindly ignored. “I like you, no matter if you’re a woman or a guy.” He then added, feeling a little sappy because of his next words. “I like you because you’re you.”
“And what do you know about me?” Kazuya scoffed, not letting it show that such words touched him in a way. “It’s not like you’ve known me outside of work, so don’t think you like me just of what you’ve seen up till now.” He added, obviously displeased with Jin’s shallow attitude when it came to feelings.
“I know that you bite your lower lip when you’re nervous.” Jin smiled, taking a breath and closing his eyes to picture Kazuya just doing that. “You always brush your tongue on your lips when you feel the pressure is big and when you don’t know what to do.” He chuckled, thinking how much he loved that naughty tongue. “You’re a workaholic and you’d be happy to stay on the set day and night just because you enjoy your work, you love what you’re doing.” He said with a resigned tone, feeling a little worried about Kazuya’s burning desire of marrying with his work. “You’re stubborn and you’re prideful, but you’re kind and you can’t imagine being selfish. You want to help everyone and you’d do anything for those you love.” Jin ended his speech, opening his eyes and looking at Kazuya with piercing eyes. “Or did I say something wrong?”
Kazuya pursed his lips and narrowed his eyes at Jin. “That’s something that even a person who had known me for a couple of days could say. It’s a general image I give off.” He said, smiling a bit with superiority. “And any person would do anything for their loves ones and I surely don’t brush my lips with my tongue.” He then added a little offended by the last part. Somehow, being said by Jin, it made him seem like a big pervert or enchanter.
“Sure you do.” Jin frowned at the younger. “You’ve done it already a couple of times since we’ve been here.” He then added, cocking a playful eyebrow. He needed only one second to change his expression and from scolding - or mocking, whichever sounded better - turned to a smirking one as he approached Kazuya even more and blew some hot air into his ear, licking a little his earlobe and then quickly hurrying away. “I also know this.” He grinned with a satisfied smile.
Kazuya closed his eyes and trembled at Jin’s action, his legs almost melted from it. He let his head fall to the right, his hair covering his blushing face. He was still against the stall, but his feet had slipped a few centimeters, realizing once more that his earlobe was the most sensitive place on his body. Kazuya stayed like this to calm his beating heart before he could confront Jin. “I should kill you for this.” He muttered, cursing his hushed voice, filled with constrained lust. “And I surely know a weak point of yours too.” He turned to look at Jin with a dangerous gleam in his eyes. He made a small step - just enough to not be too close to Jin - and he stretched his hand to touch Jin’s collarbone but Jin ducked, already suspecting what was Kazuya planning to do.
“You’re never going to catch me, you evil Doomsday!!” he laughed like an idiot, hiding his collarbones with his jacket and covering them with his hands.
Kazuya looked amused at Jin and considering that they were still in a bathroom stall, it didn’t make it less funnier. He enjoyed hearing Jin laughing, though his words made no sense or whatsoever. “What the hell is Doomsday?” he asked, not being able to suppress his smile.
“You don’t know?” Jin gaped and covered his mouth in surprise, shocked that Kazuya hadn’t heard about this particular cartoon character. “He’s Superman’s most powerful enemy! He looks kind of gross,” he said with a thoughtful expression, “but he’s so cool! He even managed to kill Superman once!!” he continued to babble with an overjoyed expression and a wide grin stretched on his face.
What? Kazuya blinked once, twice, looking at the overexcited Jin, and he had the impression he was seeing his little brother when they were small and still watching cartoons. “Ah…” he made a sound of understanding, though he was hardly suppressing his laughter. “If you say so.” He added and the bathroom roared with laughter as he began to stomp and hold his waist as he bended because of the laughter.
“It’s not funny!!” Jin yelped offended, pouting and crossing his arms in protest. He glanced at Kazuya who wasn’t bothering to look at him and continued to laugh, giving Jin the perfect reason for revenge. He smirked and grabbed Kazuya’s arms as he turned the younger around and caught him in his arms from the back, Jin’s hands holding his waist tightly against the wall of the stall which they had bumped into, Kazuya’s back pressed into Jin’s chest. “Let’s see if you’re laughing now.” He whispered with a husky voice into the younger’s ear, biting it slowly and fully enjoying Kazuya’s reaction.
The laughter died on Kazuya’s lips as soon Jin caught him off guard and pinned him to the wall. But when the teasing came, he found himself once more weak and trembling. “N-no…” he whimpered, his body shuddering in Jin’s embrace. His hands looked for support and he spread his palms on the wall, his knuckles bending a little, reaction to the sudden passion he felt. “J-Jin…” he uttered again, the actor’s name being almost like a suppressed moan. “Stop.” He begged, now breathing hard and quite difficult. He’ll crash in Jin’s arms if the older kept on doing that to his ear.
Jin giggled but not moved away from Kazuya’s ear, letting his every breath touch the sensitive skin and send shivers through his whole body. “Why?” he laughed softly, tightening his grip on the younger as he felt him weak because of his administrations and smiling even brightly, thinking that maybe Kazuya wasn’t so indifferent at his touches - he refused to think that maybe he’d act like this to anyone. “You don’t seem to have a problem with my weak spot, why should I have one with yours?” he teased with a playful voice.
“I d-didn’t even touch you.” Kazuya breathed as he tried to move, tried to wriggle out from Jin’s arms, to get away from that lingering breath and lips that kept teasing his ear. “Jin, let me go.” He asked, too conscious of the hands around his waist, of Jin’s chest against his back and even aware of parts he never considered before.
“If you promise me something.” Jin grinned even if Kazuya couldn’t see him, moving his hands so that he could brush his fingers on the younger’s arms.
“I can’t promise you things that are impossible.” Kazuya replied, biting his lip, ignoring the ghostly fingers and the prickling of his skin.
“Then I can’t let you go either and we’ll just have to sit here aaaaaaaall night.” Jin said with a shrug as if he didn’t mind at all to spend the night locked into a stall with Kazuya. Even more, it seemed tempting. “Doesn’t it sound nice?” he then proceeded to blow some air into the assistant’s ear, chuckling a little and showing Kazuya how will their night be if he disagreed.
“Y-yeah.” Kazuya said on a moaning voice, closing his eyes. “The perfect hell.” He added, showing clearly that he won’t give into promising anything that will go against him. So what if they had to stay a whole night in the bathroom? Kazuya was willing to cope with all, lest with promises.
Jin smirked against his ear and took Kazuya’s answer as saying that he actually enjoyed what they were doing but he was too shy and embarrassed to say it. “You have no idea.” He breathed the words, biting on the boy’s earlobe hard and painfully, soothing it quickly with his tongue and sucking on it with his mouth. “Because I have no problem doing this until morning.” He then added, kissing Kazuya’s ear, cheek, going down on the back of his neck and arriving at the other end with his kisses just to give the left ear the same treatment as the right one.
“Oh, fuck.” Kazuya muttered as his hands fisted against the wall and he leaned against Jin, being weak against such treatment and to the waves of pleasure that were sweeping over him. He licked his parted lips, gulping and trying to suppress the moans Jin provoked. “And you’ll have a hard time with yourself as you won’t get any satisfaction from keeping me here.” He whispered as he whimpered and turned his head a little just so he could look at Jin, his eyes clouded with desire.
Jin’s eyes seemed to be the same or even more as he looked back at Kazuya with an indecipherable expression, full of longing and lust and maybe something else that mixed them all up and created a mess that Jin felt lost into. “I can deal with that.” he said the words with a slightly aroused voice, perfectly knowing that if he’d keep this up, he won’t be able to stop and he didn’t want to think what would happen then or what if Kazuya would reject him exactly at that point. “I can’t deal with the fact that I want you so much though.” He said, lowering his head a little and gently pecking Kazuya’s lips, waiting to see his reaction but not stepping back, just keeping his lips close to the younger’s, his eyes searching the other one’s, in need of something that could assure him that it was okay for Kazuya too.
But Kazuya won’t do the same mistake again, though he felt a bit naughty and Jin had been asking it for a while. So he darted his tongue over Jin’s lips and quickly turned his head away, now looking at the stall’s wall in front of him, his face blushing and his heart beating like crazy. “You’ll have to deal with more than that.” He said with a smug smile tugging at his lips. Kazuya couldn’t believe he had just done such a crazy and weird thing. But he’ll blame Jin for everything.
Jin blanked for a second, not sure what that just happened or if he had imagined it. But seeing Kazuya avoiding his gaze again, he thought that this could only mean one thing as he smirked and turned Kazuya around, pinning him to the wall and holding his hands over his head with one hand, the other one still on the younger’s waist. “You’re going to drive me mad.” Were the only words he said before crushing his mouth against Kazuya’s once more into a raw and rough kiss, biting his lips and sucking his breath out of him, burying his tongue so deep that he couldn’t help a moan from escaping his lips, covered by their mouths battling each other.
Kazuya couldn’t say that he hadn’t expected such an outcome, but still it baffled him how quickly it came and how sinfully sweet it was. He couldn’t fight Jin nor the feelings, the raw desire that crept into his body from long ago and was now awakened because of Jin’s passionate kiss. But why did it feel so good having the actor devouring him, Kazuya had no idea. He could only respond to such a powerful desire with his own, thinking of nothing else but the man that was trashing him in a bathroom stall. And his tongue was as fierce as Jin’s, never to give up, always to take more and more even when there was nothing left. But as it dived deeper into him, Jin’s body now glued to his, Kazuya realized again that all of this was wrong. Yet he couldn’t stop and his body seemed to be eager for more, each moan or sound of his being swallowed by Jin’s burning mouth.
But soon Kazuya was out of air and he broke the kiss, turning his head to the left and breathing heavily as if he had run at a marathon. He felt Jin looking at him, he knew that Jin was still holding his hands together and that his body was still against his, making him conscious of every part of the actor’s. “I’ll kill you…” Kazuya muttered, still panting and licking his bruised and throbbing lips. The assistant tried to ignore his lower part of the body, now uncomfortably and painfully awake.
Jin chuckled, still breathing hard and trying to control the mad beating of his heart, failing but not being too worried about it when he knew that Kazuya wasn’t that different from him. “See, you’re nervous.” He said, nibbling on Kazuya’s ear that the younger had so kindly exposed when he turned his mouth away from Jin’s lips. “You just brushed your tongue over your lips.” He said with a knowing voice, letting his tongue do the rest of the talking between them.
God! Wasn’t Jin going to stop?! Kazuya asked himself as he trembled at the other’s treatment, as he could do nothing but gasp in pleasure and close his eyes enjoying. “Nngh…” There was a sound he did not make, Kazuya was sure, but still his throat vibrated. “S-stop.” He managed to utter, shuddering as Jin’s tongue played with his so sensitive ear lob. He had a low and aroused voice and his lips were parted while his own tongue kept brushing them, to keep them wet and moist.
“You know what to do to make me stop.” Jin chuckled again, tightening his hold on Kazuya and teasingly playing with the rim of his shirt, pulling it up a little, just enough to touch his burning skin with feathery touches and caring fingers. “But if you don’t say anything, this means you actually enjoy my kisses.” Jin continued to taunt him, dropping kisses on his ear and cheek and neck and every part of him that he could see and touch.
“I certainly do not enjoy having a man kissing me.” Kazuya replied through gasps, feeling his skin burn where Jin’s lips touched. And when he felt the fingers skimming shyly over his waist, Kazuya knew that things were better to stop or he was going to regret everything. “But I’ll listen to your something that you want me to promise.” Kazuya breathed and tried feebly to escape Jin’s hold. He had given at last into Jin’s wish. He hoped that this won’t mean his downfall.
Jin laughed softly but kept his word and detached a little from Kazuya, but still letting his hands on the waist of his assistant, not feeling able to completely let go of him, not when this was the second time that Kazuya was leaving him with a hard-on that he couldn’t deal with. At least, this time Jin was confident that the younger wouldn’t be able to smirk as he did after that striptease dance. “I want you to promise me something.” Jin repeated his words from earlier, gently cupping Kazuya’s cheek with his hand and turning his head to look at Jin while speaking. “I want you to stop ignoring me, to stop acting like you need every second to be far away from me.” He now basically pleaded, feeling angry and in the same time hurt by Kazuya’s blunt rejection. “Can’t we go back to the way we were before?” he asked, the uncertainty appearing again in his eyes as he glanced at the boy.
Kazuya looked at Jin through a haze of passion, blurred with lust. He smiled dreamily at the actor, his words piercing through his desire fogged brain. “Do you think we can go back to the way we were before?” he asked in a slow voice, the words coming with a temptation behind them. “Seeing that you have me pinned against a stall, had just kissed me like I was going to disappear and tortured me to the point where we’re both that excited and with an erection?” Kazuya summed up all that they have been doing earlier. There was definitely an amusement hidden behind his flushed and lustful face with lips that spoke nothing but the truth and that were curled into a sardonic smile.
“Well, not everything has to be the same.” Jin replied with a thoughtful expression, emphasizing the word ‘everything’. “Of course, there would be a few changes, but it would be really lovely if you’d stop running away from me every time you see me.” He shrugged a little, as if this wasn’t of great importance even if his eyes were saying the opposite.”If you don’t want to be my lover, I want to at least be able to talk to you.” Jin added, staring into Kazuya’s eyes and hiding the smirk that was threatening to appear when he looked at the younger’s flushed expression, the fact that he also had an erection engraved in his mind.
“I didn’t run from you.” Kazuya replied with a slight pout, biting the corner of his lower lip. “I… I just wanted to run away from the idea of having you kiss me.” He admitted, letting his head fall into his chest, hiding the embarrassment from him. “It’s not exactly flattering having a man fawning over you…” the assistant mumbled and completed in his mind - or vice versa.
“Like you didn’t like it at all.” Jin cocked an ironic eyebrow, noticing that Kazuya was still letting him hold him and wasn’t saying anything about their closeness. Sure, Jin would have ignored him and done what he liked in the end, but not having any opposition was making his hands feel kind of itchy and in need of doing more than just harmless touching. “But I can try to refrain from kissing you even if I’ll die because of this.” He faked a sigh, lowering his shoulders a little as in defeat.
“Really?” Kazuya looked suspicious at Jin. “And if you happen to not be able from doing so?” he then asked, arching an eyebrow elegantly. Of course he had ignored Jin’s statement regarding his like for the kisses they just shared. It wasn’t that important to have the actor know that he felt trapped, aroused and delighted by those kisses.
“Well…” Jin laughed again, looking a little embarrassed because of the fact that he was kind of sure he’ll just do so. “If I do try to kiss you and succeed then you can do anything you want.” He shrugged again, acting with nonchalance. “But!” he hurried to add, “that’s only if you don’t like it.” He smirked knowingly.
Kazuya laughed. “Like you’ll know when I like it or not.” He stuck out his tongue naughtily at Jin. “Don’t assume if I answered to your kiss means that I like it.” He chuckled with a mean expression. “Maybe I was tagging alone because I was bored.” He then added with an innocent expression.
“And when you’re bored you accept kisses from other guys?” Jin continued to argue, not convinced at all by Kazuya’s acting. “I don’t think you’d pour that much passion into a kiss if you didn’t like it.” He smiled innocently, leaning down and whispering the next words on Kazuya’s lips. “Or that you’d have an erection, tremble in my arms and be so aroused.” He grinned as he straightened again, attacking the boy with his own words. After all, Kazuya had said this just a couple of minutes ago and he couldn’t back away from that.
“I never said I didn’t accept kisses.” Kazuya replied with a smirk. “And the fact that I’m aroused and so on, it’s because I’m human and my body does tend to have a mind of its own sometimes.” He added with a slight shrug. “I submit to my own needs if they are to be satisfied.” He leaned forward, looking straight in Jin’s eyes and blew some air over his lips, a smile tugging at them.
“Then what’s the problem?” Jin said with a smirk, leaning close to Kazuya once again. “Let our bodies do the talking because this is the language they speak.” He whispered against the younger’s lips with an aroused voice, looking into his eyes intently.
“Nope.” Kazuya replied and smirked, backing away from Jin. It was safer with some distance between them, especially since the time they spent in the bathroom made Kazuya’s mind dizzy and almost made him forget about the fact that he shouldn’t be flirting with Jin and that he should keep the actor on the right track - the one where Kazuya wasn’t. “My body and your body won’t do any talking because they have nothing to talk about.” He said with a convinced voice. “So, it’s better if we’d go out of here ending this -” he coughed a little “- this conversation.” Kazuya added with a sweet smile.
“We’re not leaving this stall until you don’t promise me what I want.” Jin pouted, crossing his arms and letting Kazuya free without even noticing. He seemed to realize this fact immediately and he hurried to erase the distance between them, setting his arms on the younger’s waist and gluing his body again with the other’s, grinding his hips into Kazuya’s with an innocent smile. “Or I can continue this without any problems.” He said with the same serene expression.
And Kazuya’s breath hitched as the actor took him once again in his arms. He looked at him with sparkling and lustful eyes before he spoke. “I promise.” Kazuya said with a defiant expression though there was nothing to be defiant about. “But once you kiss me or lay your hands on me…” he added with a warning tone. “…I’ll make sure you’ll have a new assistant and me out of your reach.” Kazuya completed with a dangerous glint in his eyes.
“Eeeeeh?!” Jin whined, obviously displeased with the younger’s condition. “I already agreed to not kiss you, now I have to not touch you either?!” he asked, his lips forming a pout and his eyes a little teary, looking so sorrowful that you’d take pity on him if you didn’t know better.
“Of course.” Kazuya replied, not impressed by the other’s expression. “Did you think that I would let you touch me?” he asked with an incredulously voice. “No, Jin, I’m not risking with you anything.” He patted the other’s cheek with an amused smile.
“Not even a friendly touch?” Jin insisted, hoping that his puppy eyes will have at least a little effect on his assistant.
“Not even a slight pat on the head.” Kazuya grinned maliciously.
“It’s not fair.” Jin pouted, detaching himself from the younger and crossing his arms in annoyance, his eyes throwing daggers at Kazuya. “I’ll touch you without even realizing and then you’ll be mad at me because I didn’t respect my promise.” He said, already seeing how things will go.
“Life is not fair and it will never be.” The assistant replied with a shrug. “You just have to be careful at your behavior, this way you’ll soon realize that there’s nothing interesting about me and I’m just a momentary lapse of reason.” He added and licked his lips slowly, like he was thinking.
“And if I don’t?” Jin replied with a curious voice. “If I realize instead that I like you even more when you’re playing hard to get?” he added with a smirk, knowing that this wasn’t what Kazuya was doing, but that he was more in denial of his feelings.
Kazuya frowned; he definitely hadn’t thought it that way. “I don’t play hard to get.” He replied, the color of his eyes darkening a little. “And I’m sure you won’t realize such things. It’s impossible, no matter what you say.” He said, totally believing his words.
“Oh well.” Jin answered with a shrug. “I’ll just have to prove that no matter what you do, my feelings won’t disappear.” He said all knowingly, stepping aside and opening the door to the stall.
“Finally.” Kazuya muttered with a low voice, apparently relieved and happy, but somehow feeling disappointed. But he cast away that nagging feeling and quickly exited the stall, taking a quick view into the mirror. “You can prove anything you like, I’ll be there to watch you fail.” He turned and smiled at Jin then headed to the bathroom’s door, unlocking it.
“And I’ll be there to watch you fall. Into my arms that is.” Jin replied with a smirk, also exiting the stall and staring into the mirror to fix his hair, not even glancing at Kazuya to see his reaction at Jin’s declaration.
And too bad for him, because Kazuya was blushing and had a small smile on his lips. Oh, Kamenashi Kazuya loved challenges.
*
The day finally finished and Kazuya couldn’t wait to get home. He had again resumed his friendly relationship with the actor, but he could still feel from time to time the glance Jin threw at him giving him the shivers. Of pleasure, of course, because their shared kiss from earlier was still vivid in his mind and no matter what Kazuya would like to think otherwise, his body was still reacting to the memory of Jin being so close to him. And somehow, it made him expectant of the next time Jin will put his hands on him and have him ravished like a famished person.
Kazuya shook his head as he entered his apartment’s building, trying to erase such stupid images of him and Jin or the fact that he, for a moment, had let Jin feel him again even if it was in his mind. The younger sighed and began to climb the stairs, feeling how exhaustion, both physically and emotionally, swept over him, tiring down every bone of his body. But when he finally reached his floor, Kazuya stopped shocked.
Flowers? His mind asked as he watched the sea of colored roses all placed along the floor. There were neighbors looking at them adoringly and smelling them with delighted expression. And when everyone saw him, each one of them chuckled into his direction and asked him about a secret admirer. Kazuya’s face went pale as each word seemed to seep into his mind and make him realize that all of those roses were for him. He hurried - as much as he could - to his own apartment and when he opened the door, another sea of roses welcomed him.
Yuuya looked at his brother and grinned sheepishly. “Like what you see?” he asked, showing the flowers that weren’t that few to not be noticed.
“Who sent them?” Kazuya growled, the glare in his eyes not scaring his brother a little, instead it made him smile even more.
“It said Akanishi Jin on the note.” Yuuya replied and tossed the note to the assistant. “It is clearly for you.” The younger brother emphasized the last word, making Kazuya to whack him in the head. “What was that for?!” Yuuya asked with an annoyed voice.
“That’s because you’re nosy.” The assistant replied and looked at the note with a frown and a glare. He will kill Jin, he will definitely do it and no one will have the means to stop him.
“Are you and him in a forbidden relationship?” Yuuya asked with a mean voice. He was doing it on purpose and knew that Kazuya will get angry over it, therefore it came as no surprise when the other tried to hit him again, but he ducked it safely.
“Do you want to die?” Kazuya asked grumpily.
“He sent you flowers.” Yuuya continued to tease, snickering a little. “You must be special to him~ There are a thousand roses and mostly of them are red.” He added and battled his eyelashes at his brother.
“One thousand?!” Kazuya turned and looked shocked at his little brother. “I’ll have him skinned.” He muttered under his breath and fished out his phone.
“He definitely loves you after that striptease. Maybe he wants a private one!” Yuuya laughed and Kazuya barely suppressed the urge to throw with his phone into his brother’s head.
“Shut up and go share these flowers to our neighbors!” He said instead as he typed furiously on his phone.
“Don’t you want some in your bedroom too?” Yuuya asked sweetly and flew out of the room as he saw his brother grab a vase with roses, ready to throw it at his brother.
But Kazuya let it down and looked for a certain person’s number into his agenda. He quickly sent the message, although it showed nothing of the anger he was feeling because of Jin’s great idea of sending him flowers enough to fill the building where he was living.
You’re crazy.
And because it wasn’t enough, he typed quickly another message, hoping that Jin would get the real message from it.
And gross.
Soon enough, he received a reply which had him grit his teeth and want to beat someone up, namely Akanishi Jin.
You just have no idea yet <3
Kazuya threw his phone under the pillow.
*
And the morning came, announcing Kazuya that it was time to head to a lazy ass that was called Akanishi Jin and wake him up. The assistant sighed as he bid goodbye to his brother and exited the apartment, now all the flowers from yesterday already given to neighbors or placed on each floor to embellish the gloomy building. He took the subway and all the way to Jin’s apartment, he thought of how he should wake him up. The other days he had shaken the man or hit him with one of the pillows until Jin had woken up, before he quickly left the house, not before leaving a note behind and some coffee. But now he was supposed to stay there and keep up the façade of being again friendly, though he was clearly aware of Jin’s true intentions. But Kazuya will get through this one too, he had had far worst than this.
The assistant entered the building where Jin lived and took the stairs, delaying the moment of his task a long as he could. But he was soon in front of Jin’s door and his fatidic fate will unveil. Kazuya opened the door, the same coolness and darkness welcoming him, but he was now accustomed to it, the claws of shiver faraway from his mind. He headed towards Jin’s bedroom and pushed the door open, sighing when he saw the crouched form on the bed. You’d think that since he’d been woken up several times at this hour, he’ll be at least trying to wake up by himself. But no, apparently, Akanishi-sama still needed a babysitter. Therefore, Kazuya pulled the curtains as usual, the room now flooding with light.
“Much better.” The younger muttered and turned to his tiring task of all mornings. He went to the bed and pushed a little the form that was the actor. “Jin.” He said on a clear voice, not like all the times he had used a hushed one, hoping for a miracle. “It’s time to wake up.” He added and gripped his hand around what he believed was Jin’s shoulder, shaking it a little.
Jin shook his shoulder, trying to evade the hand that was insisting to disturb his beautiful dreams, and he tossed in bed, throwing the sheets over him and completely covering his head, groaning something about milk and cereals and falling asleep again.
Kazuya puffed his cheeks, annoyed that Jin was still sleeping. So he took a pillow and with a sudden shout he began to hit the actor with it. “Wake up, I said, wake up!!” he said each time the pillow went onto Jin hardly. Also Kazuya pulled onto the sheets as he hit some more. “Moooooorning~” he yelled, feeling a bit rascal that particular morning.
“What? What? What?” Jin repeated, covering his head with his arms and trying to block the attacking pillow desperately and moving back from the furious object. In fact, he tried so desperately to get out that, at some point, the bed ended and Jin fell flat on his butt. He blinked, only now realizing what happened - even if it wasn’t the first time that he was woken up in such a brutal way, if you asked him - and he got up in a split of a second, murmuring furiously his assistant’s name and stepping towards the younger with the clear intention of killing him. “Kazuya!!”
Yikes! Kazuya ran quickly to the door, tripping a little. “Good morning!” he said with a smile and dashed out of the room and Jin’s threatening expression.
“Don’t you give me a ‘good morning’ and run away!” Jin yelled, following Kazuya out of the room and into the living. “You can’t escape from me!!” he threatened, stepping into the room and now walking slower to be careful that Kazuya doesn’t run away again.
Kazuya stopped near the couch and he turned to watch Jin coming closer. “Good morning, good morning, good morning!” he said as he threw all the pillows that were on the couch. Though he felt bad for throwing such cute little pillows, he felt the need to do so. “Come closer and I’ll hit you with something else!” he laughed and grabbed a book that was on the table. Kazuya wasn’t sure why he was acting like this, but it was fun and Jin needed to be woken up.
“Dare and I’ll make sure you regret that your whole life.” Jin hissed through gritted teeth, stopping on the other side of the couch. “Besides,” he smirked, “you can’t afford to hit me with that book so drop that dangerous thing from your hands.” He said, crossing his arms and arching an eyebrow at the younger. If his precious face or body had even a scratch on them, then… both of them would be in big trouble. But Jin decided that it’s worth the risk as long as he could teach Kazuya a lesson.
Though Kazuya threw it with a lazy movement on the couch. He had a smile dancing on his lips and stars in his eyes. “If you can say all of this, then it must mean you’re fully awake.” Kazuya said and stuck out his tongue, feeling accomplished. He had managed to wake Jin without much effort.
Jin frowned at Kazuya and turned his back on him with a furious glare, still feeling upset because of the way he had been woken up. Of course, it wasn’t that different from what happened in the last month but Jin still had hoped that maybe something will change now that… they had changed too. He sighed as he exited the living room with his shoulders slumped, not even glancing at Kazuya as he headed to the bathroom and closed himself there to take a long bath. If he would hurry with his breakfast, he had enough time to spend relaxing in the bathroom.
Kazuya had indeed returned to normal - at least until now - but Jin still didn’t feel pleased by this. In fact, he was really displeased now because Kazuya could act like before while Jin was forced to control his actions and always remember that he wasn’t allowed to touch the younger anymore. That’s why he had left the living room feeling so defeated, when actually his first thought had been to jump over that couch and wrestle Kazuya down and do the dancing victory after. His actions were kind of limited and he hated to act with restrictions. That’s why he had left Japan, because there were too many people who wanted to order him to do this and to do that. America had given him the liberty that he wanted and this was the first reason that he had refused to go back home until now.
And it seemed that he had gone back to Japan only to be caged again.
He smiled. Actually, it wasn’t that bad to think that the reason for his restrictions was now Kazuya. It meant that the younger had an important role in his life, it meant that they were a little closer now even if that wasn’t much. He closed his eyes and dived his body into the water, thinking at the last few days. He had never thought he’d fall in love with a man and the least he expected was that he would fall in love with Kazuya. The assistant had attracted him from the first time they met and only now Jin realized what those shivers meant when their eyes had met for the first time - and they were not because of his annoyance like he had first though. And now…
Jin couldn’t really say that he was in love with Kazuya, but he did know that he liked him a lot and enough to be able to do crazy things because of him. He wanted to be with him and Jin was confident that he’ll manage to get the younger to say that he liked him back. He didn’t need to make Kazuya like him because Jin was already convinced that the younger had already passed this stage only that he was still in denial.
But Jin could take care of that. He was too stubborn to just give up like that.
When Jin went out the bathroom half an hour later, he was already feeling better and ready to face a new day. He listened for a moment to the silence of the house and wondered if Kazuya had already left like he had done in the past days. He sighed, thinking that maybe nothing really changed as he headed to the kitchen to see if indeed his suspicions were true and stopping in the doorframe.
But Kazuya was there sipping some coffee and checking something in his agenda. He had been surprised seeing Jin turn and leave him behind, but somehow Kazuya understood. Whether it was because of annoyance or disappointment, Kazuya understood Jin’s need to not face him so early in the morning. He himself had this problem when he came to his apartment, but he was better at hiding his emotions than Jin. So when he sensed the other’s presence and looked at him, Kazuya decided that he will help Jin to act normal around him, he will help him forget whatever like he had for his assistant.
“Look at you, fresh and ready to work.” He smiled to him, leaning back on the chair and examining the actor. “There’s coffee in the pot, if you want.” Kazuya added and pointed with his head to the kitchen’s counter. The smile never left his lips, although it should have died the moment his eyes met Jin’s body, dripping wet and draped only with a towel around his waist. But Kazuya was better than this.
Jin scratched his head, looking confused at Kazuya and wondering for a moment if he hadn’t stepped into an alternative universe. He shrugged and entered the kitchen, deciding to follow the younger’s advice and pour some coffee for himself even if he wasn’t that sleepy anymore - Kazuya sometimes managed to do wonders. He filled his cup and turned to take a seat at the table, standing in front of Kazuya and looking at him as he was checking God-knew-what, face blank and only blinking a few times per minute, concentrating only and only on Kazuya.
The assistant suppressed his laugh seeing as Jin was more speechless than he should have been at the sight of the actor, fresh out of the shower. Though he still wore an amused expression as he closed his agenda and stared back at Jin, pleasant vibes from him and all. “You know, manners are required when greeted.” He said with a teasing voice, giving a low chuckle.
Jin flinched, apparently only now aware that the Kazuya that he was looking at wasn’t an illusion but the real deal. He blinked quickly a few times as he greeted back his assistant with a low and groaned ‘morning’ and sipped on his coffee, closing his eyes and enjoying the pure bliss that it gave him. “I thought you had left.” Jin confessed, not really being the kind of person to keep anything to himself, but choosing to keep his eyes closed, pretending that he was still enthralled by the coffee’s taste.
“But I hadn’t.” Kazuya replied with a cheery voice. “Are you happy?” he asked and there was a hint of tease in his tone. It was funny to see Jin like this, it gave Kazuya all the reason to be mean and tease the actor all he liked.
Jin again flinched and opened his eyes to look straight into Kazuya’s ones. He arched an eyebrow, wondering if this was really the same guy from yesterday that was begging for Jin to stop teasing him and to let him go before he would do something that he might regret - Jin’s interpretation of Kazuya’s actions, of course. “Yes, I’m happy.” He answered with a wide smile, letting the feeling dwell into his body.
“Good then.” The assistant replied and rose from his chair, going to sink to wash the mug from which he had been drinking. “I have to make some calls…” he turned to glance at Jin, something in his eyes changed. “…go and dress yourself, okay?” he continued, looking back at the mug he had finished washing. “We need to go in half an hour.” Kazuya added and took a towel to dry his hands before turning again to Jin. Again, something flickered in his eyes, something that darkened the brown color of them, something hidden and dangerous. But it disappeared quickly as Kazuya smiled at the actor.
“Kazuya…” Jin called his name, wanting to stop the younger from leaving and not noticing anything, too absorbed into his own thoughts. He left his chair and approached the boy with small steps, trying to think how to ask this, but in the end, his impulsive side took control of his body and Jin stopped in front of Kazuya with a smirk on his lips, his hand on the counter and his eyes glancing with mischief. “Did you receive my present?” he asked, flirting with the younger and watching his every reaction.
And the smile froze. “Sure.” Kazuya replied automatically. “And I believe you received my messages, right?” he then added with the sweetest voice. He looked somewhere above Jin’s shoulder, not really in the mood to talk about presents. Again, that something sparked in Kazuya’s eyes.
“What’s wrong with flowers?” Jin pouted, crossing his arms and leaning his back on the counter, hissing a little at the cold sensation that passed his body when his naked body touched it.
Kazuya sighed and erased the smile from his lips. “It’s not the flowers that are wrong, it’s the fact that you sent them to my apartment.” He replied, throwing a glance to Jin, one that meant no good. “And how did you find out my address anyway?” he cocked an eyebrow, evidently displeased.
“I took your file.” The actor answered with a shrug and then he quickly added: “Then where should I have sent them?”
“You shouldn’t have sent them at all.” Kazuya replied quickly, the anger he had been trying to suppress slowly surfacing. “I had to explain lots to my brother who had been kindly enough to sign for me and read the note you sent too.” He added through gritted teeth, remembering last night when his brother had laughed his ass off and asked Kazuya when will he bring Jin home for an official approval of their relationship. Kazuya had banned Yuuya from one monthly allowance.
“But why not?” Jin whined again, not getting what was the big deal with receiving some flowers. There were one thousand of them, sure, but that was what made the present even more beautiful and romantic, right? “I don’t understand why some flowers represent a problem.” He added, sulking again.
“Some?!” Kazuya suddenly raised his voice, rounding on Jin, finally that something revealing to be the anger he had kindly suppressed just because of their friendship. “Jin, for God’s sake! It filled a whole floor and my apartment too!” he continued, passing a hand through his hand and ruffling his hair. “And my brother won’t stop pestering me about us being an item!!” he added, this being the most troubling problem, let aside the nosy neighbors who wowed and giggled at the amount of flowers. “So, next time, refrain from such stupid actions! I’m still a man after all, don’t treat me like some of your cheap women.” Kazuya said with a bitter and disdainful tone, now much calmer as he vented out his anger.
“Then it would have been better if I had given you just a bouquet of flowers when you were at work?” Jin asked excited, happy that he had found a solution so quickly to Kazuya’s problem and just not understanding what was the younger one trying to say.
Kazuya was astounded. “I’m leaving.” He announced with an angry tone, his mind still not coping with Jin’s stupidity.
“Eh? Why?” Jin asked, now really confused and baffled because of Kazuya’s reaction. “What did I do know?” he asked in exasperation.
Kazuya stopped in the doorframe and threw Jin a disdainful look. “Figure out yourself.” He replied and exited the kitchen, heading with determinate steps towards the hall. He couldn’t believe Jin was that stupid and had to ruin everything he tried to do. Kazuya had even acted like he was alright with Jin half naked in front of him or that he hadn’t been upset for the fact that the actor left him alone in the living just because he didn’t have the balls to confront him. Either way, Kazuya had tried to act accordingly to their promise, but Jin… Jin had a gift to simply ruin everything! Kazuya put one shoe a bit forcefully, cursing when he hit the wall with his elbow.
“Kazuya, wait!” Jin called the younger, running after him and catching his arm to stop him from leaving. “Please don’t get mad at me.” He said immediately, breathing hard like he had been running a few miles even if there were only a few steps. His eyes looked a little desperate as he clutched his hand on Kazuya’s arm, trembling a little but he didn’t know if it was because of his own anger or his fear.
Kazuya looked at the arm curling around his own, then he looked at Jin. “You forget our promise, Jin.” The assistant said on a sweet voice.
Jin released Kazuya like he had been burned by his arm and frowned, founding himself in no position to stop Kazuya from leaving anymore. His eyes flickered as an idea popped into his mind and he hurried to step in front of the door, blocking it with his body and resting his back on it while arching an inquiring eyebrow at Kazuya, still demanding an answer to his plea.
“Step aside.” The assistant demanded, his eyes darkened by the anger. “I’m in no mood to have you play games with me since you, you -” Kazuya stopped and pursed his lips, not wanting to say anything more. “Step aside.” He repeated.
“I won’t move from here until I understand why you are suddenly mad.” Jin insisted, his own stubbornness surfacing. “What did I do wrong? I just wanted to make you a surprise, I don’t see the wrong in that.” he confessed with the same confused and unsure voice he had used at the beginning.
“Are you even listening to me?!” Kazuya asked, fists balled on each side of his body. “I just told you that my brother thinks of us as a couple, I’m my neighbors’ talk while you get to conclude that it would be better if you give me a bouquet of flowers at work!!” he continued and advanced towards Jin, looking really murderous. “Do you even think of me?!” he asked, pushing a finger into Jin’s chest, now slightly moist since the water hasn’t really dried off the actor’s body and the dripping hair didn’t help either.
“I do think of you!” Jin replied, slightly angered that he had been accused of something like that. “I wanted to give you something nice and I hadn’t time for something else and I thought that some flowers would be good but I never know when to stop so I went and ordered a thousand of them because I thought that you’d like it and I…” He sighed. “I’m sorry.” He finally said, his head lowered. He hadn’t thought of Kazuya’s neighbors and of what would they say and this was something that Jin understood perfectly because he hated too to be in the attention of unwanted people. When he was on stage, he adored them. But in his private life… he couldn’t help but to hate them. “I was an idiot, but I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable.”
“You don’t think of me.” Kazuya replied dryly and backed away from Jin. “Forget it, don’t apologize.” He added waving a hand like it didn’t matter. “Go get dressed, we need to go.” He said as he sat on the genkan, looking thoroughly disappointed. And well, he kind of was.
“Kazuya…” Jin whispered his name with a defeated voice. He sighed and looked at Kazuya for a few seconds before he decided that it was already late and that they had to make a stop at the studio before going to the interview scheduled for that day. “I really am sorry.” He said before he finally took his leave, even if it still was with undecided steps as he distanced himself from the assistant.
“Liar.” Kazuya mumbled as he hid his head between his knees, uncomfortable with the new feeling in his heart.
Jin would never understand him or what he was.
