The end of an era

Apr 12, 2010 11:39

I am not the first to notice that this place has become rather deserted in recent years. For a long time, I continued to read but did not post. Nowadays, it feels like there's hardly anything left to read.

And so I pose this question: who's really out there? Is anyone still reading this? Please leave a comment if you are.

I'm still here. I don't update as much as I used to, but this is still my online home.

I check it daily but have not posted as I don't have any interesting news of late.

LiveJournal lost its urgency as "blogging" in its literal sense (logging shit on the web) grew more granular and mundanity-driven. Goodbye weekly / monthly updates of substance and reflection, hello sandwich tweeting (RT @phylhrmnix muenster on rye lol).

For what it's worth, there's an ever-growing text document on my computer that, I swear, will get posted to my dang LiveJournal. I still CARE. I'm just SLEEPY all the dang time.

But you're right. I miss everyone, too.

I blog to LJ, but it gets ported over to Facebook, and that's where any comments happen.
