Some people who stay in hotels have no sense of cleanliness.  Even my younger cousin Hanabi-sama was not so messy...and certainly not Hinata-sama.

I cannot escape servitude, it seems...

It is astoundingly difficult to get away from a pirate.

I believe I hid in no fewer than three buildings before Captain Tayuya gave up looking for me.  Whether or not she intended to keep me for ransom, or if she simply wanted someone around to bring her rum, I am unsure.  Either way, keeping out of sight and hidden was no small task ( Read more... )

July 30th

Heard Captain Tayuya saying that we'll be putting in to port soon, after having covered some many thousands of nautical miles.  She seems wary; another ship was spotted on the horizon earlier today.  We need to re-provision in the same port, and she doesn't want conflict.

Endless days at sea are starting to wear on me.  I wake before dawn touches the horizons and sleep long after the sun has set; I thought my training would have given me the stamina to last a day, but I fear it might not be so.  Perhaps I am inferior after all.  The life of a pirate has not been without its own brand of rewards, however.  ( Read more... )

Left port today, headed north by northwest along the coast.  Weather warmed, it really must be summer I suppose.  Back home all the flowers would be in bloom.  Lady Hinata and her allergies...

I wonder if they bothered to look for me.  Most likely not.  Why would they bother looking for a bird that's flown the coop?
