We have just sent in two applications for apartments in SF, as our landlord is selling this place. We did actually look at a tiny apartment next to Zeitgeist, but alas, too damn small. Where did you just move to?

I moved to the central Richmond, a couple of blocks from the Four Star Theater and also a walk from Ton Kiang (dim sum baby!). There's good stuff out in the Richmond -- lots of Asian markets and whatnot.

I do like the Ton Kiang. We're hoping either for the place in Bernal or in Noe Valley to come through. Please oh please oh please, we cannot do another "let's visit 8 places in one afternoon" Saturday.

Noe Valley place: enormous & over a coffee shop.
Bernal place: beautifully laid out and painted. Smaller, but office came equipped with four *giant* eyebolts in the ceiling, laid out in a suspiciously rectangular shape.

"Those drilled into load-bearing beams?" "Oh yes." "Excellent."

Both neighborhoods are awesome, as you may already know. The open house grind is indeed a soul killer. Good luck with your load-bearing beams!

6 a.m. and Vangelis' Chariots of Fire...I wonder if you have misunderstood the intent behind the playing of this music. It sounds a lot like punishment to me.

I like to think of it as Sweet San Francisco welcoming me back, her arms outstretched, her fingers flipping me the bird.

...as she pulls into the last remaining parking space in a three-block radius of your new home.
