reason for joining: I heard about this comm from theopteryx and thought it would be really useful/helpful. :D
bit about your art/fanart past: I started drawing when I was tiny and all I could do was stick figures, developed a love of comics early in life and learned a lot by drawing fanart before I even found my way onto the internet. Started online in Harry Potter fandom, moved into Lord of the Rings/Pirates of the Caribbean, floated around in random minor fandoms then Supernatural, DC comics, and now sticking to bandom when I'm not doing art/covers for http://www.thewolfhouse.net/.

reason for joining: I heard about the community from theopteryx and I love the idea of a whole community of art betas because asking your friends for advice is just not the same and it's so helpful to have honest critique
bit about your art/fanart past: I've always liked drawing but I really got into it when I started getting into Manga and Anime. I posted my first fanart in HP fandom, but didn't really share any of it beyond my own lj until I became active in the SGA fandom. I posted a lot of art in SGA, some during my time in SPN fandom back when its art community was much slower than it is now, and these days I'm happily drawing in Bandom.

reason for joining: Also here via [info]theopteryx. I think this is such a fabulous idea! There are so many awesome artists on LJ, and I'd love to learn from them and share what I know as well. Hurray!
bit about your art/fanart past: For as long as I can remember I've been a compulsive doodler, so much so that throughout Uni I was referred to as the girl who we watched doodling on her laptop in my ~~~~100 lecture. Lurked for a good long while, and finally managed to get myself posting by signing up for some challenges. That's where I'm at still, but I'm pretty sure this comm will be great inspiration for my own ideas!

reason for joining: I'm working on improving my sequential art as I have very little experience. And hey, always working on overall improvement!
bit about your art/fanart past: just an active artist in a lot of fandoms, mostly Star Trek, SGA, Merlin and other genre stuff.
