Check your friendslists

I seem to have been friended today, along with a fair few others in my friendslist, by bnrecad_scheer. Does anyone have idea who this russian posting person is before I go off and add them to my banned users list?

I too appear to be in good company. I hadn't realised I could ban people - or is that only for the paid accounts?

Anyone can ban another user from reading their journal (including public entries) - it's a bit convoluted though, you have to go to the console, but there are instructions in the FAQ :-)

I wouldn't give a toss even if he had added me (which I haven't, and cba to check). He's not gonna get to see anything I don't already release to the rest of the world anyway. *shrug*

I honestly don't see what the big deal is with someone you don't know adding you to their f/list, so if someone could explain it, I'd be much grateful.

Ditto. He could be reading it anyway without friending. I can't think why anyone would want to read my inane ramblings on a regular basis unless they had similar interests.

It only becomes a problem if they start leaving stupid comments.

*nods* I don't see any point in taking the effort to ban someone if they haven't actually done something to deserver getting banned. I've got other, much more important things to worry about in my life than anyone mad enough to *wanna* read my crappy public posts.

I've had too many problems with "serial-adders" to ignore them.
See my Profile for journal friending rules :-)
