Oh, the prisoner's dilemma. I mean, it's not the prisoner's dilemma, as there's no analogous extreme punishment for [cooperate, defect] (it would be a positive payoff, at that, albeit an unlikely one), but there are certainly varying payoffs. Cooperate, a.k.a. clam, near guarantees a similar response, with a minor payoff, while the stakes only ( Read more... )

No, sorry, I was being serious. I could see how that could come off like that via internet writing. But yeah, i'm always curious to what everyone has recently watched, interested in, want to see, etc. I like talkin' about movies, ya know. Yes, though, that really is tits, and you've inspired me to do the same. I started making a list yesterday (technically today, being late night), and i'm gonna see what the outcome is in a year. Always wanted to do that, just never really thought about it. Sorry if that post sounded like I was making fun of ya, I kinda mis-worded it. I was born dumb, ya know.

I keed, I keed. I figure if anyone that's not me would find that interesting, it would be you. I should prolly have phrased that differently, myself.

I shall have to get back to you with favorites. I was gonna rank, at least to some extent, but it was sorta a rush before I had to go to work, and I got all absorbed in my attempt at game theory, 'cause I'm just that cool.

But, yeah, tits. Lists are fun. This is where the IMDB comes in handy, as much as you dislike rating stuff.

25 flicks a month? Is that possible? :-D

The Lake House (2006)

Um. Any good?

A Cock and Bull Story (2005)

Good job on keeping up on yo' cracking British flicks. B-)

And to think, I've only seen fifteen or so movies in the month.5 I've been out of school.

The Lake House is, um, passably entertaining. I saw it 'cause it was free for me and I loved the Keanu bits in the trailer. There were a few notable Keanu bits in the film not featured in the trailer (Keanu weeping I shall never forget), but that was a bit disappointing. The actual film is hilariously predictable, but not annoying or anything, if nothing vaguely profound.

A Cock and Bull Story was really good, though! You British people keep on with the cranking out of cracking flicks and I shall be happy, to the small extent I am exposed to them.

going to look at this until you make me a list of 25 films that Liz and I need to watch. EXCEPT I will say that she and I have a date to see the Lake House for the pure morbid fascination factor. Kinda like when I took a day off work so we could go see Cats and Dogs in the theatre on opening day.
