SOOO drunk.

My friend Jen took me out tonight for my Christmas present. fun. fun.  Got paid twenty bucks to dance on the bar...

Saw 'Apocalypto' tonight with Jeff.  It was a decent movie.  Some shots were straight out beautiful, but it certainly lived up to the whole 'Most Violent Film of the Year' title.

I just saw Apocalypto tonight, and wow. I didn't know what to expect, but since I'm cool with violence, it was extraordinary. I think my mom is very freaked out, though.

Yeah, it really was beautifully shot. Now that I can actually think straight and look back on it, I think I just wish it had been less 'chase' and more about the culture and their fall. Of course, its kind of a mystery, but I think it would have been really interesting to see more at the end. The whole movie was so savage, but would the arrival of the Europeans(?) cause them to bind together in any way? I mean, stop killing each other in the face of a different threat. Ah, anyway. Yeah, it was pretty brilliant.

I mean, stop killing each other in the face of a different threat.Well, historically, that didn't happen. But it was an interesting ending. Part of me was thinking, Jaguar Paw and his wife and children should go to the Europeans for help, if their only other alternative is being hunted and killed. But wow, it was an inspirational movie. Jaguar Paw is very beautiful. He actually looks a lot like a friend of mine, who I do not really find that attractive, but the ferocity and simultaneous beauty and sympathy of Jaguar Paw makes him utterly, breathtakingly, beautiful ( ... )
