If You Like...

When I was a kid, a local drug store had a display full of little aerosol cans of cheap perfume. All of the cans said something like, "If you like Giorgio, try ___ (whatever name this generic smell had been given). For some reason that display always fascinated me.

I thought about that this week as I listened to Assassination Vacation by Sarah

I've seen Sarah Vowell on The Daily Show. I've thought her books might be interesting. I'll add Assassination Vacation to my summer reading list. :)

I really liked it. It's not an unbiased account of history by any means. She gives her personal opinions, and she's very liberal, but the whole thing was thought provoking.
