Goddamned computer troubles now that I finally have the new equipment and my favorite guitar fixed. Fuck.

Realistically, the last nine months have been some of the worst times of my entire life. I've never felt so depressed, betrayed, hated, alienated and, at times, suicidal. What the fuck am I doing? This is no way to live.

Finally met a luthier who didn't rub me the wrong way today. He fixed up the RG nicely and I'll be hooking it up to the new equipment this weekend, at last! So ready for proper recording, though The Winter Carnival is only a hair over a year old, the songs were mostly penned and recorded a few years back ( Read more... )

The lyrics and music are over halfway written now and I'm planning to hit the studio tomorrow or the next day to begin taking them apart and building them into proper Black Aura recordings.

It's been a crazy fucking year for better and for worse and I thought I should leave a short list of the good to remind myself that through all the pain and stress, I've still accomplished and experienced some wonderful things ( Read more... )

Think I'll spend tomorrow alone in Ashland. Go record outside of the city (I still hate douches who take their acousatics into overly public places), perhaps. I get a major part of my tooth work finished in one hour... excited and nervous. No recording vocals for a little while, I guess.

I wish I could just run away from all of this.

Started moving today after James and Cathy's baby shower.  The long, narrow stairs are a real bitch to get things up and down but it's neat having a place as big as it is up a good forty or fifty feet off the ground and overlooking the sound.  Tomorrow I'll probably pick paint for an accent wall and the nursery.
