eve marie carson, the student body president of unc-chapel hill, was shot to death last week.
it's a horrible enough story by itself. she was amazing. she was a victim of a random crime.
but then my roommate last semester sends me an email from spain. "she was my cousin and a huge hero of mine."
ouch.
