So, how long has it been? There gets to be a point where there is no point in offering explanations and excuses.
But here they are if you want them )

Just sending love and hugs. So understand the whole sadness thing. So tough to see Dad go down hill. I keep wanting to read Wolf Cub but I am so far behind on actually reading anything for fun. Now days I need to read for work. Not always my favorite books. Just so you know the "The Family Fang" was a really stupid book. Also 50 shades of grey is ok but yuck straight porn is so weird. Lol.

Take care and I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs

No "just" about it. Thanks! I'm sorry about your Dad. I'm glad work is better. I never heard of Family Fang but sounds like I didn't miss anything, nor the other one you mention.Guess I'm not hitting the bookshelves much. Most of my reading has been non-fiction lately, related to my charity work.

Thanks again for the note.
Hugs,

Popping back in to tell you about 50 Shades of Grey. It is a book phenomena. This woman wrote this massive Twilight fanfiction. Then she changed the names and got it epublished. Some womens reading group in Florida read it and the Today show did a story about it. It is a spicy BDSM story. Women of all ages are rushing to buy it. Now they are planning to make a movie of it. To be honest it is ok but you write better than she does. Lol. So now you are informed if anyone brings it up.

Thanks for the scoop. We just had an argument about fanfiction in my house, with my older son taking the general, it sucks at worst and is for lazy writers at best side, and me taking the, it's a transformative form of art like any other, so bite us, writers who insult fanfiction (and anyone else) side of it. It got ugly, which arguments with two strong-minded stubborn people tend to do.

I do think I will take a pass on Shades of Gray though and now that you've put it in context, I do recall hearing of it. To me, when you start making lots of money is when you need to get permission and deal with copywrite laws.

Hi! fansee April 21 2012, 02:32:52 UTC
So good to hear from you.

My condolences on your mother. There is no easy way to get through the loss of someone close and loved.

It's good to know you are writing again. FanSee

Thank you, Fansee! It's good to hear from you too. I hope you've been well. I was in the city for Manna's Shut Up and Dance with Ann Marie--it was spectacular! We need to get together. Every time I see the dancers from the PA Ballet I ask myself, why don't I become a subscriber, and then I remember, oh right, no time.

I caught Jesus Christ Superstar last month on Broadway--if you get a chance, go with your youngster--it is an incredible production. My teen loved it even. And he's a guy. The voices are incredible and the staging was...words fail me. (and that does not happen much, lol!)

I just wrote a long enthusiastic post, exclaiming how happy I am to see you here and as with all good things my computer
ate it up.
I won't count on it turning up somewhere...But I am thrilled to see you up on my screen..I wrote a few posts but when I
didn't hear I figured you needed time and hoped we'd see you here soon again, and here you are! I will write more
off line line.
Just know that a lot of us truly missed you and are really happy to know you're here again.
Warm regards.

Thank you, Selma. I am sorry I didn't see your posts. I have not been on LJ for months, other than to pop in to say the occasional happy birthday. I haven't read any posts at all for weeks on end, which turned into months on end. And that turned into not checking email accounts, so I am sorry. I have to read hundreds of emails a day for work, and when you couple it with another hundred or so for charitable work, and then move on to social life, well, social life went by the wayside. And I gave up guilt for 2012. It was going to be chocolate or guilt and....

It is nice to hear I was missed. Time has a way of getting away from a person, which I am sure you understand. I hope you've been well. The mild weather has been a blessing. The world is not any better a place though, but let's not get started on THAT or we'll have to go hibernate for another six months.

I am so very glad to hear from you--thank you for popping by my friend.
