For the last hour, I've been scouring UNL's website. Thanks, Ben, for helping me find the admission deadlines ( Read more... )

Good Luck to you. We all have our ups and downs and even if life seems really crappy at the time being something will come up to make it positive, even if it's only a small thing percivably. I'm sure UNL will take you back, be very grateful when they do.

Anywho, last but not least my favorite quote nowadays "Hope for the best, but Excpect the Worst"

Good luck

Alrighty...first of all, sorry for the current emo-ness.

Second of all, if someone with you HELPS, then do it. Dylan, you know you got people to watch your back and help you out! You seriously do! There is no weakness in asking for help. Anyway, my mondays are a bit packed, but I can try and weasel out of a class or two if you need me to.

Also; don't forget about SCC. Perhaps starting there and finishing at UNL is a more frugal alternative to heading straight to UNL. I think that the next SCC term starts just after spring break...I'll check with Sana. Obviously, it's your life, you do what you will. If you need someone to go in with you, I will find time on monday afternoon.

You're only a failure if you give up. You have people that care about you, you shouldn't feel you have to prove anything (Now if that train of thought drives you to succeed, more power to you, but make sure it stays "constructive" and you don't set "un-realistic goals" (which will take some judgement) for yourself). Make sure whatever you do was because YOU wanted to do it. Sounds like a no-brainer but it took me awhile to realize that just because I wasn't reaching the lofty goals of some of my graduating class, it didn't mean that I was "behind" or a "failure" in any way. Sometimes we have to wander through the forest for awhile.

If this is something that you really want than you should go for it. Don't take the first no if they have issues. You have to show them that you want it more. I know this guy who has failed a calc class at Omaha twice and Lincoln once. He's back at school in Omaha taking the class. If perservance is a quality that you want, don't ever stop pursuing your dreams. That's also a challenge from me to you.
