Well, that says something - I don't think I've ever seen the masculine versions being used. Thank you and noted for future reference.

Camo ballet flats, closest thing I've seen are Demonia Daisy 20, but they're pretty expensive for a pair of flat shoes. But they do come with interchangeable ribbon...woot!

Those... are quite perfect, in fact! But you're right, they are a little on the expensive side, especially when you factor in currency conversions and overseas shipping.

Still, my boots are Demonia, and were purchased from a store in Canada, so perhaps they might also be able to supply me with these as well, minus the high shipping costs and with a more reasonable exchange rate. Worth looking into, at least - thanks for the tip!

Regarding the terminology, it's a combined resulkt of excessive pedantism and many years of French classes growing up.

Interesting note, the term 'blonde' in French slang can also be used to mean 'girlfriend.'

Glad to have tipped you off about the shoes.

Ah. Nothing wrong with excessive pedantism at all, and the masculine/feminine thing makes even more sense. I knew that the root of the word "blonde" was such but had never really thought about the French connection with "brunette".

I much appreciated the note. My wild imagination's now taken with the concept of a British comedian telling "blonde" jokes to an unforgiving French audience.....
