Would it even be possible for the US military intelligence forces just to find the guy the ordered the attack on the towers and the Pentagon before declaring that they will hunt down some hacker dude that posted some embarrassing information on the web ( Read more... )

Well, to be fair...it is Sweden which is after the shmuck...the US govt can't do much since extradition laws are pretty difficult.

You make a good point, but the media coverage and the way it is being stated there, make the paranoid in me thinks that the us is asking the other countries that have a better agreement with Sweden to make this happen. Then once the UK gets him from Sweden, the US will arrest him there.

I just still wonder why getting the other guy is taking so long.

you do realize that "military intelligence" is a bigger oxy-moron than jumbo-shrimp and baby grand right?

I mean, its sort of right up there with the storks, tooth fairy, and santa clause... we've been told it exists, but sooner or later we have to outgrow the myth and fantasy and join the ranks of the trodden imaginations.

I wish we could hang Manning. Charging Assange will be difficult. It should help to make government more paranoid and secretive and be another fine reason to oppose cyberliberatians. Hey, at least we can argue two issues now instead of one. ;-)
