The argument is that the big corporations behind the production/implementation of the voting machines would be doing the rigging.

However, I agree with you, most hackers are democrats.

Nah, Diebold isn't competent enough to get away with rigging an election. Shit, they left the source code on an unsecure server for like 4 months

It probably means that the choice of the next American president will be taken out of the hands of deep-pocket, autofellating, corporate shitbags and put it into the hands of some teenager in Finland

Or into the hands of whichever candidate has enough money and connections and secrecy to hire said teenager.

eh, it's going to be the best hacker that ends up actually rigging the election, and no one who's actually the best would let themselves be bought. Moreover, if they did, they would be pretty much immediately ostracized from the hacker community, and by pretty much any social theory, no longer the best.
