i like bugs
i found this little guy lying on his back on the road by the curb... poor thing. i thought it might be a stinkbug, but it turned out to be a cicada. bzzzzz! i let him crawl on my arm and then put him back on a tree (probably to be eaten by a bird... oh well!). now that i think about it, cicadas sure are pretty big bugs by north american standards ( Read more... ) -

I think I want to make math my hobby. Then when people ask, "What are your hobbies?" I can say, "Math." Then I can REALLY be Asian (joke. That's not the reason I would do it, of course). -

the mundane
I am extremely picky about notebooks and journal books. Today I found the most beautiful journal book: a sketchbook with letter size pages, quite thick (110 sheets/ 220 pages), and off-white blank pages by Daler Rowney at Midico (I love Midico). FINALLY! Most sketchbooks are too big (9"x12"), have too few pages, and have blindingly white pages. I ( Read more... )
