Now... I have something to say. Penis. Two, and you have penes or penises. If one more person types or speaks "peni" or - I shudder at the thought - "penii", I... god damn. I might not do anything at all except wince while I bite my lip. Hard. I might even spit blood.

Wow. You are a NERD. While I agree with you that the correct plural form of the word "penis" is "penes", "peni" just sounds silly and is ammusing. I can understand how incorrect, serious usage of the word might me annoying..but occasionally you just have to say it aloud to yourself in a squeaky voice for a good giggle. Just don't hurt your lips too badly, I'm rather fond of them.

As my AP Lang teacher said after I criticized Faulkner's grammar in As I Lay Dying, "When you know the rules, it's OK to break them sometimes." I still don't wholeheartedly agree, but in the case of penes/penises/peni/penii... I suppose.

As long as people know and understand the difference, they can say what they want. But, I reserve the right to make fun of the stupid people. And plus, I like the smirk on your face as you and Mallory say "PENI" over and over with enthusiasm :)

And, yes, this summer most definitely will rock like whoa.
