Some damn fine television I must say!
Beyond my viewing of Downton Abbey the past few Sundays, I'm squeezing in my Netflix viewing of The Wire. I know why I didn't start watching this show back in 2002, mostly because although I had cable, I didn't pay the extra for HBO. Busy Busy...oh a day off from Work...Busy Busy
I actually had a day off! Too bad it flew by. My old grad school friend V came into town on his way to a conference in LA. He hadn't been here before so his traveling sense was all tingly. A Weekend Day Off
I have the next three days off (kind of - see below). And tomorrow we're heading to Russian River w/ friends for canoeing. Duncan is even coming along. I bought him a life jacket since I don't know if his swimming skills are up to par. Russian River is quickly becoming one of my favorite places.

What's That? That Big Yellow Fiery Thing in the Sky?
I can't believe the sun is attempting to poke his head through the clouds. If ever so slightly. It has been unseasonably cool and cloudly here this summer. Monday is a (slightly) lazy day
I was thinking about going to the gym today, but I'm kind of feeling lazy a bit. I'm trying to be good getting an hour a day of exercise under my belt. I've been doing much better in general, but right now, I'm just tired and have other things to do - acquire quarters for laundry, get Duncan some food, blah blah blah. Oh yeah...I did some running recently
I think I forgot about the 5k I did. July 25 to be exact. It was part of the SF Marathon and runners were finishing that by the time we were running. I got SFTG to drive me downtown to avoid trying to find parking and found my friend from work who was running with me. One minute it felt like April and now it's August. I'm trying to figure out what I've been doing lately besides work. I did spend some lovely time with fireflylive and the other inhabitants of the Lewis Lodge. It was a lot of fun and I felt fairly good about my abilitiy to show people around this city. Dog all better
Still meaning to do a proper posting, but as the usual, things like work get in the way. Tomorrow...it will happen tomorrow. But on the positive note, Duncan is all better. So tired, sickly dog
I had every desire to be productive today - the gym, take Duncan on a journey, cook, watch my Netflix movie. Get the most out of it. Instead I was up and down all night watching after a sickly dog.
