That was a good chat, and I have to say that I'm glad to see he's being proactive. Whether he can do what he says is another matter, but at least he has the willingness to take a big swing at it.
That being said, I've been sincerely patriotic all my life, and especially so when I've resented the various jackasses who run the country. Our country is a lot more than the purported leaders who swindle us.
Being proud of what America does is not the same thing as being patriotic. Many times, we have done horrific things; but sometimes, we have saved the world. It's a mixed bag. Don't be so quick to do a Michelle Obama here.
