So, fun times: the fire alarms went off all over Omega at 1:30 this morning, and went on for ten minutes straight... then it shut off, then came on again... and did the same thing a couple of times. Today was interesting. The weekend was awesome -- not at all what I expected, and some definite AHH moments but really, really great as a whole. Today, though, was the day that my flippin' professor reamed me. I actually looked up the actual definition for "ream" and it is to enlarge or bore holes in something, as with a reamer. Why, when we know the incredible love of Jesus Christ, do we walk away from Him and give ourselves to the world instead? Why do we take what is meant to be a gift to honor Him, and give it to someone who has no intention of honoring God at all?

I think I'm starting to get a picture of what its like to be jealous for God.

So I have been thinking some about the Bible study I had today. Mark 7:1-24. Of course, I knew before that I had a little Pharisee in me because don't we all -- but thinking about it a little more, I realized I pretty much am a Pharisee by definition because one of my biggest struggles is that I put the standards and ideas of my culture above ( Read more... )
