Dear Friends Who Are Nerdier Than I Could Dream

Jun 02, 2005 08:23

The time has come to replace the void in my life left by the tragic death of my blue miniPod (Victoria sadly lost her life to a Route 44 Cherry Limeade shortly after New Years 2K5 at the Sonic in Athens, Alabama). I am undecided as to which iPod I should get, and I will let my nerd-assed friends decide for me (or at least provide some input).

Why not get a Creative Labs Nomad Zen? You can get one with a 30 gig HD for under 200 bones. You will save money and not be limited to iTunes.

Whoa, now, I like iTunes. I also like Street Cred.

But seriously iTunes has the best organization. I don't to do anything involving media player, and I am pretty sure that's what happens with Zen thingy. Besides, they're ugly! LIke your mom. Teehee.

Quit your bitchin', save your money, and love your CD's. MP3's are compressed, therefore, even thought you can fit a lot of them into a small space...they still sound a little smashed...of course my ear is more attuned than others...so go with the third estate and get one.

Guess who...?

Could you kindly point out to me when, precisely, I was bitchin'? I know very well that digital media is highly compressed, but I am not looking to forsake my CD collection. I still buy CDs, unlike nearly all of my friends, and I just get too tired of lugging them around. They shouldn't be put in a carrying case because it scratches the back, but when I have 100 CDs I want to listen to at any given time, I really don't have much of a choice. That is, unless I get an iPod. I'm not looking for an auralorgasm everytime I listen to an mp3 player. I just want convenience. I'm going on plenty of trips this summer as to where taking my entire CD collection would seriously hold me up at the airport. So, shut you face, Nicolosi. I know damn well who this is.

You handled that quite nicely. Logic over arrogance! At anytime did you visualize a knife slowly penetrating an eye socket to the point of rupture?

You are a potential electronic music lover (anywhere from synthpop, retro pop, electronic dance, neo disco, artists like legowelt, kraftwerk, ladytron). Hence, I am marketing to people like you. I’m a poor Chicago electronic artist and I would like you to listen to my tracks:

If you like my stuff and wish to support my cause and dreams go here to find out what you can do:

This is not spam. Just a desperate artist in need of fans in his pre-promotional stage.
