It seems that all my words have gone
tiptoeing in the night,
to places not so hateful
and minds less full of spite.

and taken supple skin
once forming over oozing sores -
exposing fetid sin.

and with it all the clouds
that offered shade for all the dreams -
now lifeless empty -

In a Hospital Waiting Room
I've been trying desperately to get a poem out, with no success whatsoever. This, however, wrote itself. Drabble like.
It's not very good. But at least it's something.

I miss my lj. I miss writing poetry. I've been in scholarly paper mode for so long that I don't even have anything to write about.
Somebody give me something to write about, please. A phrase, a picture, a song. Anything. -

I love you ferociously.
I lie in limbo, fantasizing
of ripping you up into
bite-sized pieces.
You're too frayed on the edges -
too threadbare at the knees.
I want to claw your threads until you
collapse;
I'll lick up your dust

So, I didn't write this. I know, I go months without posting, and then post something that isn't even mine. But I love it. It's so rare that I post something that's not mine, but I can't stop thinking of these lines by a friend. Thanks to her for the beautiful words.

It's too early for real life.
It's storming, I barely slept, and I'm in a wild and crazy mood.
For the first time in a very long time, I want to write something. I can't, because I have to go to work and such. But it's nice to have the inclination.
Perhaps soon.
I miss this part of my life. -
