Appointment with Dr Kennedy from the Monash Gender clinic at 10.30 this morning. Firstly, I found 2 hour parking directly across the road from her office (rare). Her secretary Margaret told me she wasn't running behind today, so I got in to see her about 10 minutes after my appointment time. She had a smile on her face, like she had some good news

Congrats on the surgery! And don't let anyone get you down. Confidence is your weapon, you know? :)

I'm not looking forward to actually being IN hospital, but at least the hospital it's apparently being done in is single-story, so I won't be TOO far from exit doors. Combine AS with a fairly severe panic disorder, and hospitals arent much fun. Fortunately for this one it's a short stay.
Once I get rid of these unsightly 'growths' (if you want to know how bad, take a pic at the before and after photoshopped ones in my xxasimont lj), I will have a lot more confidence. At the moment because the Testosterone has changed my voice, I introduce myself to people as Simon and they are fine til they look at my chest!
Nice to have you on my friends list.

You've seen me, so you know how much this means to me. I think they are actually going to do it at Masada, which is kind of weird because it's just round the corner from you. Pity you're not chair-mobile at the moment!

Any way you could visit me on the way through? I could kick in for extra taxi cost if it would help?
Wish to could see you after, but I imagine that on the way home you will be feeling pretty crappy!
I heard that you have Bek spring cleaning! Woo to being able to see the floor ;)
Love always

Yes, Bek needed part time work now that she's independant, just a few hours here and there to supplement her Youth Allowance, and I needed 'home help' so it's working well (except I can't find my blood test order form but that was on the computer system unit so I think I misplaced that when Mick upgraded the RAM. We've both taken some 'before' photos of various areas (some are on a fmil I have to develop), so I will be posting photos of the finished results.
