Can't the year end in another week or so? I don't want to end this half of my vacation yet. This is a time I never want to see.

...is rainy and cold, as usual. Apparently it's snowed in Madison, and places in Michigan, and also Munich. (Dresden too, but that ruins the alliteration.) I saw a picture of the Zugspitze south of Munich (it's the highest mountain in Germany) and it was so covered in snow. Not that that's so crazy on a mountain. Two weeks from now I'll be going to my dentist in the Village in a few hours.

How weird is that?

There will probably be cat fur in my nose and everywhere and cat next to me in bed. Unless I'm already awake because 9 am in Michigan is 3 pm here, but I don't remember jet lag ever happening (the other two times) on the way back.

Plugra butter can be bought at Trader Joe's. It won at table butter at some butter tasting thing. Not so much for baking.
Breton butter with fleurs de sel costs over $4 in NYC for like 9 oz. of it.

I think almost every year by the end of April all I want is to pull back into a self-contained world of springtime and relaxation and clear my mind. Usually it's the end of the semester, or the end of AP classes, and maybe part of it is the optimism of spring, which feels new each year.
