Here's my question...

My husband and I are moving to a new place and I've figured out themes and colors for all of the rooms except one- the living room. I love the sleek, swanky look of the 20's and 30's and have 3 pieces that will go in the room in question. But, I don't want plain white walls so I need to figure out a wall-color.

I'd go for a neutral color like a tan or something similar with white or off-white moulding around the ceilings and floors (if possible). You really want to show off artwork like that, and an actual color will compete with it too much. Besides...it's also pretty true to the style to use neutral colors all around the room except for in the art pieces. Good job on finding those beauties!
