Blinding Pain.

Dec 19, 2003 17:15

Today I have managed to get one of those blindingly painful headaches that come from having to deal with ignorance. Once again one of my esteemed colleagues has gotten in over his head and the resulting mess somehow ends up in my competent and fashionably manicured hands ( Read more... )

Eerily familiar. It seems once you are recognized as competent others will do anything to stop you being acknowledged for promotion. In stead you become their concealed resource of help and assistance during a crisis.

Well, I am rather difficult to conceil however I am rather valuable for what I do and in that respect no one seems to wish me to move further into public view.

How dare they think that you are anything less than worthy of being in charge? Well, Monsieur Malfoy, I am sorry to hear of your migraine. I tend to fall prey to those as well, when I am under a great deal of stress. I find that a nice, strong tea of Feverfew and peppermint (or Feverfew and chamomile) works wonders on the pain.

I do not have a place of employment currently -- I live with my family, and I'm working on finishing school. That, however, can be almost as bad.

I empathize with your stress. I send my best wishes to you for this matter.

I am in charge of a great deal, but I really should be in charge of the whole of the Ministry, don't you agree? Schooling is important. That is why we are keeping Draco tutored on top of going to Hogwarts.

I definitely agree that you should be in charge of the whole Ministry. I don't know what they are thinking, letting someone as daft as Fudge maintain the head position.

School is very important indeed, Monsieur Malfoy. I want to become a professional Healer, so a great deal of studying and stress will inevitably be mine. On top of that, I take graphic arts classes. I think they should eventually put me in charge of the Art department. It would be naught but excitement if they did, non?

Ah, adding beauty and healing to the world. How lovely. I suppose some enjoy Fudge as he is easy to lead. But when the revolution comes, he will be of little use.

Less commitment somehow does seem to equal higher position. I can empathize with being the big problem solver that everyone turns to when they screw up, but ignores when promotion time comes.

Ironically, I myself was loging in to make a similar vent. My head hurts, but not nearly as much as my back!

Is that to imply that you are working on your back?

Nay, good sir. I was actually making an inference to carrying everyone on my back in my particular department.

Merry Christmas, by the way. As I told Draco, I know you'll get all that you want, but my wish for you is to get one or two pleasant surprises.

I feel the need to share that you were in a dream I had last night. It was some frivolous Ministry party, and you were an escort for myself and some others. Let me just say you do look dashing in a dark velvet cloak.
Now, I don't know whether to shout "stay out of my dreams" or "welcome any time." It was strange, and I feel it will be with me for quite some time today.

I can hardly help but be dashing in nearly anything that i am clothed in. It is the burden of my attractiveness. What precisely happened in this dream that you had that will stay with you for some time?

Probably just the fact it was so shocking and such and honour to be escorted by the handsome Lucius Malfoy himself.

I see how that would make an impact.

I am sorry to hear about your headache. Being surrounded by ignorant people is not a good thing.
Forgive my rudeness, but I think the Ministry are morons. You should take over the Ministry.

Merry Christmas to you and Narcissa.

That is not rude, it is merely an accurate observation of the Ministry. Glad tidings to you as well.
