Yeah, I was watching its slow and painful over the last month or two of 2008 and first month or two of 2009. For this poll, though, I pretty much just pulled the list from here, and it's not clear from the list which sites are dead and which are just "uncooperative" by not providing the raw-form stats.
Are you looking for something along the lines of this discussion, like Semagic (planned for a near-future version), or more like what I'm told is the Dreamwidth web-posting experience, where crossposting is automatic through Dreamwidth? (I suspect that the latter could be implemented on their end, but I'm not sure--if it's what you want, you might submit a support ticket there and see what they say.)
The crossposter is not currently capable of interacting with clients, but it is planned to allow clients to toggle between just posting to Dreamwidth or using the crossposter function at some point in the future.
