It is official
I have officially decided to start another blog. I just need a clean start, I think. Anyway, this one will stay up for a while, but I have a new one now. The url is http://sanlorenzosherriffs.blogspot.com/. I will leave this one up for a bit, who knows, I may even come back to it one day, but for now the news will be appearing on my new site.

Impending move???
It has occurred to me that the reason I have lost interest in posting here might, for the most part, be my tendency to associate livejournal with my cousin, and therefore with her death. Plus, I look at other blogs, particularly with blogger, and can't help but wish for the special gadgets and other options they offer that livejournal does not. ( Read more... ) -

Man, since allthatjazmyne died last year I have had the hardest time writing. She is the one who gave me the motivation to start this blog and when I lost her I seem to have lost all motivation. Michael Jackson REALLY DID have Vitiligo. He was NOT trying to be White!!!
Well, everything turned out ok, if you are worried about the last post. My concerns all ended up being a big misunderstanding. It doesn't alleviate my fears for the future, but makes things ok for now. That isn't really what I am posting about though.

Ayanna just went down for a nap, 45 minutes late. It was all for a good cause though. She was outside playing in the sandbox, being very quiet. But Bill came out and started playing ball with her. As we were kneeling down tonight for family prayer, Robert asked Ayanna if she would like to say the prayer. She didn't want to but, just as she said so, Lee raised his little hand and said, "I do it!" So we let him. The prayer was very short, and mostly incomprehensible. The Lord truly works in mysterious ways. I went to a Cinco de Mayo party tonight hosted by the local Mom's Club. It was incredible. They even made me a virgin margarita so I wouldn't be left out. More bad publicity . . .
Once again it seems that autism is getting a bad rap in the media. A while ago this article was posted online. It is a mother's story about her autistic son and how he turned extremely violent and needed to be institutionalized as an adult. It is a heartbreaking article, and I feel the mother's pain, but I don't agree with publicizing it so ( Read more... )
