my inferiority complex might be in danger...

Batting it out of the park! Way to go. As a former English major and lover of higher learning, I applaud you. I know how good stuff like getting into your preferred course and acing a paper you had come to doubt can feel.

Woot!

Thanks, dars! I feel like I can't gush to my fellow first-years because we're all so stressed; I don't want to sound like an ass, you know? So being able to gush via LJ is great :)

Also, I'm happy to know that you got a job with a BA in English. And one that actually uses your degree. I will cite you to my students.

As Kate Monster (of Avenue Q) would sing:

"What do you do with a B.A. in English?

What is my life going to be?

Four years of college

and plenty of knowledge

have earned me

this useless degree.

I can't pay the bills yet,

'cause I have no skills yet.

The world is a big

scary place...

But somehow I can't shake

the feeling I might make

a difference

to the human race!"
